Regan's head felt as if it weighed nothing. He couldn't open his eyes and could only hear the chatter around him.
"Regan?" a familiar girl's voice rang out causing Regan to momentarily black out. The noise was making his head feel like it was splitting apart. "Re? Commander A.?"
He pinpointed the voice, Kendra. Regan hated all these flashbacks he started to have ever since he and her were reunited.
"Please wake up...I'm going to go call Kiro. I'll be back." He heard a rustle in the grass and her voice faded before he could reply.
Don't leave me...
---
Regan jolted upright. No way that flashback was real...unless Kendra was feeding thoughts into his head trying to make his life miserable. He looked around and realised he was in the sickbay. Nobel sitting beside him asleep on the chair.
Regan groaned and let out a raspy noise that caused Nobel to wake up. "Hey man," Regan managed to squeeze out. "How long was I out and what happened?"
"About an hour or so. Not that long," His friend replied. "Remember how I said to control your emotions?" Regan groaned knowing what he did. "Yep you lost it when Scotty talked about...it."
"Was anyone hurt?" Regan said, looking at Nobel with wide eyes.
"No but Drew said you cast a pretty sick spell." Nobel chuckled.
Regan sighed knowing everyone would give him dirty looks if he were to ever walk through the halls. "What time is it?"
Nobel pointed to the clock. It was 8pm already, almost curfew. Regan shot Nobel a fierce look. Nobel smiled and shrugged.
"Lets go back to the dorms. I'm not staying the night in this place." Regan got up eventhough his head was spinning.
Nobel held onto Regan's waist so he wouldn't fall while walking up the 20 flights of stairs. Regan held on and walked slowly. He almost fell down the stairs if it were not for Nobel holding on to him but they finally made it to the dorm. Nobel lay his friend onto the latter's bed and left him sleep.
"Night buddy." Nobel silently closed Regan's room door and departed to his own room.
Nobel creeped around the dorm's lounge until it was after curfew. He couldn't sleep as nightmares always found their way to him. He just sat there and stared at the firepit, waiting for it to be morning or to exhaust himself completely he would just fall asleep.. But as his eyes started to droop and his brain started to sleep someone barged out of their room and ran towards the toilet, a path of blood trailing behind.
Nobel shot to his feet to see which of his squadron mates it was. He ran to the toilet door and knocked it.
"Are you okay?" He said softly and waited for a reply which would allow him to tell who that was by their voice.
"Yep, I'm fine thanks..." Came the reply.
Nobel smirked as his plan had worked. It was Drew. He shuffled into his room and lay on his bed until morning.
---
"Morning beautiful people!" A loud voice boomed, causing the 4 sleeping boys to jump.
Drew was the first one out. He smiled weakly at the Arch-mage and turned to go back into his room.
"Drew! Wait," The Arch-mage said, causing Drew to jump.
"Yeah?" Drew had a hand subtly placed on his abdomen hoping his friends wouldn't notice. Jayvaughn, on the other hand, was like a dad to them and noticed everything about them.
