Chapter Forty One

--Lucien's POV-- (Forewarning, explicit content. :3)
"I know it hurts, beyond belief. But we aren't safe here." Daniel rested a calm hand on my shoulder and I shook it off rising to my feet.
"I'll leave on my own accord. My real father is dead too you know." I snapped and Daniel shrunk back slightly and I couldn't help but feel a little guilty for saying that to him.

"I asked you if you were a good shot. But I guess my BFFL got to it first" I heard the familiar leer and Tommy got up again wincing as he dislodged the arrow from his forehead before grinning again.

"Leave Niklaus out of this." I snarled clenching my hands into fists feeling the burn of anger growing in my palms.

"The little pipsqueak-!" He cut off when a figure rose up over his shoulder and buried it's teeth into the side of his neck tearing into the arteries beating underneath them and ripped them out.

"You just won't stay dead for christ sake" Emmett spat out the blood and wiped his face on his sleeve dropping Tommy to the ground while I stood there trying to gather up my jaw that had just hit the floor, his skin was void of its ivory and violent white pentagrams burned over now vibrant purple irises added to the full set of vampiric fangs and purple flames circling his hands.

His eyes connected with mine and faded out to hazel before he collapsed just in time for me to grab hold of him to steer away from the mutilated body at his feet. "Did I do good?" He mumbled in exhaustion burying his face in my shoulder brushing his nose up my neck as if finding scents he could never of found before.

"You're okay, oh god you're actually alive" I hugged him tighter placing frantic kisses all over his face running my hand through his hair to make sure he was really standing there.

"I know, I thought I was a goner" He whimpered kissing my neck softly digging his nails into the back of my shirt.

"We have to get back, you need to see Juvia in case there is any sinister side effects" I finally let go of him to open a new portal back to hell helping him step through while Daniel went ahead to take care of a spooked Nick who could barely keep himself standing.

"Emmett! Don't you ever do that to us again" Juvia came running out from the hospital and threw herself into Emmett's arms cursing and scolding him for being a victim once again "We're checking you over, this power you consumed I want to see if it's not hurting you" She tugged Emmett into the hospital and leading us downstairs into the lower depths of the hospital.

"I feel fine, my throat burns and my head is pounding and a wicked amount of pain in my neck" He shrugged reluctantly pulling off the blood soaked clothes he was wearing and into white shorts and shirt before Juvia ordered him up onto the exam table connecting leads to his temple and forehead.

"You just took Isidor's powers, He is the definition of evil. I just want to know that we won't have to go through something like this again" she pouted bringing up his brain waves and heartrate on the monitor.

"I'm really cold" He shivered wrapping his arms around himself, Juvia frowned and retrieved a blanket from cabinet to drape over him.

"That's weird, you have a fever. But then again, you died." She smiled forcefully stroking a hand over his cheek.

"Too soon Juvia" He smirked staring up at the ceiling "How long do I have to sit here like this" He groaned fidgetting impatiently.

"the machine turns off on its own so you can stay until it does" She warned opening the door and closing it behind her.

"So. When can we actually get married?" He asked turning his head to me peering down at the absence of his ring around his neck.

"I really wanted Cressida to be there but..it's up to you" I fished the blood chain out of my pocket and slipped the ring off of it tossing the rest in the trash can
