i aggressively typed on my phone and glanced up at jangjun as i was doing it.

he was so majestic, and i'm proud to call him my childhood friend (and crush).

but the problem is, he likes someone else. it's hard to hide my feelings towards him when i see him a lot.

it's okay though. it's not like he'll know because i'm trying to forget my feelings for him. plus who would like a girl like me?

i wear these big glasses, i'm socially awkward, and i was known as the girl who slipped on the grass in p.e class because i missed the soccer ball. worst is that jangjun saw the whole ordeal.

but it's alright, right?

it was years ago and i'm a new me.

well not really, the glasses still lingered around.

anyways, i was searching up "boyfriend rentals" since i was bored.

call me desperate but i never experienced being loved, and knowing that i don't have a chance with jangjun made me even more hopeless.

i'm 22; in university, yet still no boyfriend.

"yo yanyan!" jangjun called out and i quickly turned off my phone.

he held onto my shoulder and i was too distracted with the fact he was holding me tightly, that it took me awhile to respond. "uh yeah what's up?"

"nothing." he cheekily smiled and that caused me to smile too.

he soon continued after a long pause. "there's a red velvet concert coming up and i was wondering if.."

i was anticipating his anwser, i loved red velvet a lot!

"you could ask joosun to meet me up after classes end near the canteen. you know, since you both have the same last class."

well then.

i never dared talk to her because she seemed so pretty for someone like me to approach her. "sure." i smiled.

the things i do for this boy.

"thanks yanyan, i can always depend on you." he smiled widely and left me alone once again.

i sighed and turned on my phone to see the 'boyfriend rentals' pop up on the screen again.

i was about to press the first link i saw but the bell rung, indicating that it was time to go to my last class.

as my last class was about to end, i glanced once more at joosun and was plotting whether i should go up to her or just leave it.

my thoughts were interrupted when the bell rung, indicating that class just ended and it was time to go home.

joosun was about to get up but i hurriedly rushed over but was at a loss for words.

i pushed my glasses up and gulped, "uh hi joosun."

"hey yana?" her eyebrows crashed as she smiled at me.

"yeah uh that's me hahaha." i broke into an uneccasary fit but calmed down after bit. my eyes met her confused eyes and i continued on, "so uh jangjun is asking you to meet him near the canteen."

she nodded. "ohh thanks for that, i will." she waved and left the room.

well there goes my five year crush.

now i was all alone again, just like always.

"miss shin, why are you still here?" the teacher asked, and i jumped turning around to see him piling papers among papers.

i bowed as a sorry "sorry mr. choi. i'll get going now."
