For A Day (Ko Shinwon FF)

i opened my eyes to the distinct sound of chattering and a heart monitor, my eyes fluttered a few times before fully adjusting to the light that was on the ceiling.

my mind went blank and i didn't even question what was going on till i saw the TV across from me. suddenly it turned off.

i looked at the person who turned it off and it was him, the person who i lasted a day with.

"wait turn it back on." i urged but seeing that shinwon didn't move an inch, i was already getting out of bed.

seeing this, shinwon got up in an instant and walked over to me, "woah slow down there cowgirl, you shouldn't be moving too much. you just passed out and your blood level is high." shinwon held onto my shoulders and i relaxed them, my eyes wandering over his.

it's been so long since i saw those dark brown eyes looking back at mine. i mean well music shows were an exception cause we always made eye contact through there butttttt his handsome face didn't seem to get out of my head when i first laid my eyes on him.

ANYWAYS that's not the point! i'm here to figure out what the hell happened to kino and if i could do anything to fix it because it was my fault this all happened. he's an idol, i'm not. he shouldn't be going through the burden i'm going through because he needs to look good on stage while i am just stuck in my little cubicle.

"if you're wondering about kino.." shinwon sighed heavily, "he's fine. his bpm is doing good and he's expected to wake up in a few hours. he only has a minor leg injury and a few smaller injuries here and there but he'll make it. he's just gonna go on hiatus for a few." he nodded at his words whilst looking somewhere else.

i sighed with relief but the anguishment never left my side, "when he does wake up, i want to talk to him. is that fine?" i asked with hope in my eyes.

he nodded and smiled a bit, "of course."

we sat there in an awkward silence till the police came into the room to question me about what the vehicle looked like and if i ever got a glimpse of the driver, because from other witnesses it was an apparent hit and run.

i anwsered all the questions as best as i could till it was shinwon's turn to anwser.

"and sir, who is she to you?" one police officer asked. i furrowed my eyebrows, how does this relate?

"may i ask why?" shinwon asked in a polite manner.

"safety protocols." they assured and shinwon cooperated.

shinwon gulped but then looked over to me, "we're just acquaintances.. we met just now."

the officer looked at him with one eyebrow up and then looked at me with a worried face, "are you fine with him? you're not uncomfortable with this man whatsoever?" they asked.

i shook my head vigorously, "no no, i am absolutely comfortable with this man. he makes me feel really comfortable, i do not feel uncomfortable at all."

i was nervous :|

the police blinked countless times before nodding and exiting the room.

"you seem like you slurred your words." shinwon joked and i looked away.

"alright but atleast i didn't rat you out." i stuck my tongue out, but stopped once i realized we weren't back in university.

shinwon smiled at my actions, but i looked away once again.

"when can i gooo?" i fiddled with the blankets covering my legs as i looked everywhere except shinwon.

"they said they'll release you today, just don't know when.." shinwon sighed, "did that incident make you shocked?"

i nodded and looked away, "it did but it reminded me of an incident that happened way long before." my thoughts were louder than the tv playing in the background, and the chatters outside the room.

"i'm sorry about that." shinwon looked down with sad eyes but i smiled.

"it's okay."

i sat beside kino's bed while shinwon stood up and looked at his fellow friend.

the beeping sounds made me feel extremely upset and all i wanted right at this moment was for him to wake up.

i caused this mess, yet he decided to sacrifice himself.

"shinwon.." i trailed off, "why do you think kino did that?"

he thought of it for a moment before saying his thoughts, "kino was always the kind to put his family and friends first before his career. it sometimes caused him to make stupid mistakes but i never expected him to jump in front just to save you." he shrugged and sighed, "he probably remembers you and didn't think twice. then again, he's our main dancer. his body moves first."

i laughed hearing that, although i didn't know if i should be laughing. i calmed down when nothing but silence replied to me.

"sorry about that." i apologized.

shinwon shook his head, "don't worry." he reassured. the reason for the silence was because he missed that laugh dearly.

"do you want to start over?" he suddenly brought up, my eyes glistened.

i looked at his eyes and smiled, "if you're willing to wait for me then sure."

looking over at kino's sleeping body, i frowned at him.

"i'll be waiting then." knowing him, he could do some dumb sh- but his antics always make me feel better at the end of the day.

at the corner of my eye, i saw kino's hand twitch a bit which caught me off guard. maybe he was partly awake or hes currently in a good dream.

i looked at shinwon to find him smiling back at me too, "let's try another date and see what happens.. you can rent me for a day."
