The night air seemed to be refreshing as the two boys walked home. Hanamaki had stayed the night at Matsukawa's house claiming that he didn't want him to be lonely, considering that his family was going to be out of town for a couple of days.

"Iwa-chan"

"Iwa-chaaaan"

"Iwa-chan!"

'Smack!' The dull sound of someone being slapped could be heard down the empty street. Soon after, following a whine then a muffled groan.

"I'm thirsty!" Cried the taller boy who seemed to be asking for another smack.

They walked until they reached the closest convenience store. Oikawa complained that he was getting thirsty but in reality it was a cover-up. Secretly he just wanted to spend more time with his 'Iwa-chan'.

Iwaizumi groaned before agreeing, he was obviously losing patience with the overly-energetic guy standing next to him. Especially when he calls out his name repeatedly and obnoxiously. The boy lacking sleep just wanted to go home and get a good night rest.

"Have you ever tried this one?" A girl spoke to another holding up a drink containing a blue-like liquid.  "No, is it any good?" The conversation faded lightly has the two made their way to the back. On the way Iwaizumi grabbed a water bottle. The only drink presentable in his mind at the moment, too much caffeine and he was about to burnout.

"Iwa-chan, give me that!" Oikawa yanked the water out of his hands placing it gently on the counter. "Sir, I'll be getting this as well." He said to the man standing behind the counter. Before Iwaizumi could protest, it was already being paid for.

"Idiot, I could've paid for that."

"Yeah you could have, but ya didn't" Oikawa replied sticking out his tongue and putting up the peace sign.

Bidding farewell and leaving the store without so much as a proper exchange of words left a vile taste in Oikawa's mouth. His thoughts were running wild with unpleasant things.

First one being that he didn't want to be left behind. And that thought alone hit deeper than home.

Iwaizumi was feeling the tension that was starting to spread like wild-fire. He flinched upon hearing the honking of a car. His best friend noticed the sudden surprise and questioned if it was truly because the upcoming vehicle.

Oikawa stopped walking and Iwaizumi didn't notice until he felt his presence slowly start to fade. It was less suffocating and more relaxing truth be told and that thought alone scared him, it was a feeling that was so foreign. Being scared or nervous around the one person he thought he could always talk to about anything. It was a feeling that was hard to describe.

"Oikawa? What is it?" All he did was look up to the star filled sky shaking his head ever so slightly. Iwaizumi raised an eyebrow at his strange behaviour. "Why'd you stop walking?" He tried once more.

His eyes widened as soon as the taller boy looked down from the sky with an intense look in his eyes. Yet he still couldn't hold the gaze, instead of being suspicious and looking away like he always did- he looked to the right so it wasn't direct. He gulped audible raising his eyebrow once again in confusion. As soon as Oikawa opened his mouth to speak the other took a step back on instinct and was moderately taken aback.

"Want to spend the night?"

***

Someone had once told him that wishing upon a shooting star sometimes came true. Not often but for the lucky ones- it was an imaginable gift.

Oikawa had wished beyond seeing a shooting that had suddenly passed by. He had wished for Iwaizumi to agree to his request.

It was true that he had refused the first couple of times, but Oikawa's persuasiveness got the better of him. The puppy-dog eyes and the begging didn't help Iwaizumi's case either.

"Alright! Fine!" He cussed. "Just shut up already." And with that they made their way towards his place to pick up a few thing before heading to Oikawa's house.

'This is a mistake.'

'Why. Why. Why. God I'm so stupid.'

'I hate this.'

Iwaizumi was beginning to feel like he was losing his mind. Thoughts of many sorts flooded his head and they weren't the kinds that he should be thinking about. Especially about a certain someone that was more-so considered like a brother to him. A tightening feeling pulled at his heart upon thinking about that. 'Brothers' it left a bad taste in his mouth. The word didn't roll off his tongue like he hoped it would. It felt odd, like it didn't sit right.

'I wonder' he pondered.

'What it would be like with his arms around me, with his hand held tightly within my own. What it would feel like with his lips—'

All to suddenly a sharp jab strikes at his burden- his heart. Like spilling salt over an open wound- it hurt. His eyes widen and his heart rate sped up, the blood rushing to his core along with his jeans tightening.

He started to panic. The guy who had indirectly and not-knowingly caused this was just downstairs getting something for the two to eat. They had already picked out a movie but of course Oikawa began to get hungry.

So did Iwaizumi but in a completely different context. He cursed himself for thinking such things and stood up from the floor almost immediately. He rushed to the closest restroom and washed his face with cold water. 'Just breath'

His hand trailed down to his hurting member. He readjusted himself so it was less noticeable and less uncomfortable. He took a deep breath and walked out and sat down on his friends bed. It smelled entirely of Tooru, it was a sweet yet manly smell. It was the best smell in his opinion.

He laid down burying his face into Oikawa's pillows. It's been awhile since they last hung out- just the two of them. It's also been awhile since he's been in his room.

He raised his head and looked around. It hasn't changed one bit, not that his best friend has either. He let out a breath and decided he would change into his pyjamas before Oikawa returned. He began to take off his shirt and then his pants. Once his pants were off he rummaged through his bag that he had brought with him that held all of his belongings. His pyjamas, phone charger, toothbrush etc.

He pulled out a pair of jogging pants and a plain black shirt. He pulled on his pants and just as he was about to put on his shirt he heard the faint sound of footsteps and a door closing.

"Awe, I was just enjoying the view." The boy standing in front of the now closed door teased with a smug grin plastered on his face.

Iwaizumi spun around almost instantly throwing on the shirt. If he wasn't flustered enough already he sure was now after the full on show he just gave his friend.
