"How's everything at home Iwa-chan?" Was his first question. He didn't want him running off but he knew something was wrong. Just from the way Iwaizumi had been acting that morning.

"Everything's fine." He began. "Just a few changes is all." He muttered the last part almost as if he didn't want to say it. Because he didn't want it to be true yet unfortunately it was.

"Changes? Like what?" Iwaizumi looked away hating the conversation. He didn't want to talk about it, he really didn't.

"Iwa-chan, talk to me." They were both sitting in the gym on the bleachers during their lunch break. It was the perfect opportunity for Oikawa to drill whatever was bothering the other out of his system. Even if he didn't want it, the company. To feel the torture of opening up. He was going to succeed this time.

"I...don't—" He swallowed then looked at his hands in his lap. "I can't." He stood up, not running away but he felt the need to just stand.

"Woah calm down and breathe. What happened? You're not usually like this." Oikawa stated the obvious. He already knows that silly.

"When I left your house...after my mum called. She had news. News that I wasn't expecting." Slowly he sat back down facing his favourite person. "How is she okay with this? I'm not."

He was about to start rambling on and on just to avoid saying the only thing Oikawa really wanted to hear. The truth on what's actually been bothering him.

Iwaizumi sighed. "I-"

He looked up at the ceiling taking in several breaths. Then his gaze shifted and made eye contact with eyes that he couldn't look away from. Eyes that had him hypnotized spilling his heart out anyways.

"Oikawa...I met my father."

They starred at each for what seemed like forever when it was only just a few minutes. Oikawa's eyes closed as he tried to process that simple piece of information. First thought that entered his mind was a mental image of what the man looked like.

'Did he look exactly like Iwa-chan?' Then he flinched, there's never once been talk about his dad. Oikawa always thought he never had one. A hand waved frantically in front of his face trying to get his attention.

"Earth to Oikawa.." The moody teen cowered away looking ahead sighing.

"You— what?" Oikawa sputtered. "You met your father? I thought you didn't-"

"I don't!" Iwaizumi snapped. "I don't. He just showed up yesterday." His hands pulled at his hair. He looked up at his best-friend with indifferent eyes. Ones that said 'I don't know what to do.'

"I even had the audacity to say that I hate him. How can you even hate someone you've never met? God I feel horrible." He whispered. Oikawa grabbed his hands forcing him to release the grip he had on his hair before he ripped it all out of his scalp. "Calm down. If he's still around then there's plenty of time to apologize." His voice reassured Iwaizumi and it was strange in a way.

When he looked down at his lap his eyes narrowed as he looked at his hands being held, by a guy. He moved away forcing Oikawa to let go. His body shifted slightly looking around to see if anyone else was there- watching. His eyes never once looking at Oikawa.

Oikawa groaned grabbing ahold of his arm turning him back around. "Stop doing that." He said.

"Doing what? I'm not doing anything." Iwaizumi responded confused. What's gotten into him all of a sudden?

"Look at me." His head turned to the side connecting his olive green eyes with the hazel ones that he loved so much. "I started noticing about a week ago but didn't say anything. You've been avoiding me and I want to know why." Crap.

"I haven't." He denied just as fast standing back up stretching. The sound of his back cracking echoed in the empty gym making him grunt. When he looked back down, Oikawa was just gazing at him with hooded eyes. It was clear that he was no longer in reality.

Iwaizumi brought his hands up to the others face slamming both palms together making Oikawa jump up startled. "Stop spacing out dumbass." He scowled.

"You're just overthinking shit. Stop." With that they both walked out of the gym. Oikawa still not convinced but he let it slide for now.

Iwaizumi and Matsukawa sat motionless as they listened to the lecture in their Japanese course. Hanamaki was fast asleep not that the teacher really cared.

Mattsun yawned. "Hey." Iwaizumi glanced at him.

"Hey."

"There's a party tomorrow night. Wanna go?" He raised his eyebrows in surprise. Last time Mattsun went to a party he got completely wasted. Iwaizumi with the help of Makki, the two of them literally had to carry him out forcefully because he refused to leave.

"You and a party? Yeah not the best combination." He said. Oikawa was the same way as Mattsun, the guy couldn't hold his liquor for the life of him.

"Oh common, I'm not even that bad. Oikawa is way worse." They both snickered knowing he was right. Eventually Iwaizumi agreed as long as he wasn't forced to drink, not that he got drunk.

"You don't usually drink yet when you do, you don't even get drunk." Hanamaki pointed out as his eyes fluttered open. His mouth formed a lopsided grin and when he looked up meeting Mastukawa's gaze he couldn't help but smile wider. Mattsun face was a light pink, you wouldn't notice it if you didn't look closely.

"I'm only going if Iwaizumi goes." Makki stated making the other pout. Iwaizumi glanced down at Hanamaki with narrowed eyes. He refused to let his guard down even though it was his best friend.

"Really bro?" Mattsun whined. What the hell?

"I already said I was going." He managed to spit out with a frown. They both smiled upon hearing the slight distaste in his voice. When he looked up at the clock he sighed. Another twenty-five minutes to go before school ended.

Hajime just wanted to go home and watch Godzilla. It's been awhile since he has and he soon realized that he's been leaving his home, in other words his comfort zone more frequently then he normally would. He grinned in amusement. 'Damn friends' he thought.
