Chapter 7

"Now, remember, Cookies&Cream, you too, Cheese and Bubblegum, stay inside while I'm gone, okay?" Chris explained. Cream smiles "Okay" Cookie smiles as well "Sure" "Chao." "I'll see you ya'll later." Then he walks away leaving them to look at each other and frown. They both sigh "Chao" Cream walks outside towards the railing "I don't want to stay inside. I want to go outside and play." Cookie agrees "Yeah... It's much better outside than inside" Then Cream gasps "Whoa! Cookie look!" "Hmm?" She looks where Cream was looking and gasps as well. The scene changes to Chucks workshop where Sonic is laying on a chair sleeping while Amy is looking at him smiling, Life is sitting in one of the bean bag chairs drawing while Lilly is watching her, and Tails is smiling by the window. Then Amy heard something "Huh?" Lilly looks up and turns to Amy "What's wrong Amy?" Amy walks over to the window "That sounds like Cookies&Cream and the Chaos outside." Lilly gets up to get a closer look for the three of them to see them sitting on the grass picking flowers. Tails narrows his eyes confused. "I wonder what their doing out there guys?" Amy looks at them "I bet they're out there gathering some flowers." Lilly nods "I agree. They love gathering flowers!" Sonic opens an eye interested while Tails spoke. "They know we're supposed to stay inside while Chris is at school. What's so important about going outside to pick flowers?" Then he realizes "Oh..." He gets a flashback. Cookies&Cream starts to hum happily. 'Hi, Cream. Hi, Cookie, what're you two doing there?' They both turn around happily. Cream said excitedly 'We're gonna surprise mom by making her a crown out of flowers.' Cookie giggles "Yeah! Mom's gonna love it!' Flashback ends. "I guess they both miss their mom." Amy sighs "Of course they do. I just wish... I just wish we could do something to cheer them up." Lilly thinks "Hmm..." Sonic spots something on the wall. "Hmm?" Life looks up from her drawing to see Sonic staring at something. "Hmm." Life raises an eyebrow 'What's he up to?' Then he runs to the wall and grabs the picture, runs out of the place and slams the door shut making everyone look in surprise. "Huh?" "Sonic?" Lilly looks at Life "Hey Life? Did you see where Sonic went?" She looks at them and shrugs "Sorry... I have no clue... But I think it has to do with this picture he took off the wall." Tails shrugs "Whatever he'll come back soon"

Lindsey walks into the dining room humming with some burnt buttermilk pancakes. "It's marvelous to be back in the kitchen again. On my movie sets, the chefs won't let me cook a thing. Here are your buttermilk pancakes dear. Enjoy!" Chris looks at his mom "Hmm" He takes one and it breaks "Huh? Uh... Ugh." Ella runs into the room in panic "Oh, my! Oh! I smell something burning. Oh!" Lindsey giggles "Oh Ella, it's so good to be home again. I have an idea. Let's have a big party." "Party?" "Yes, a dinner party, tonight. We could all dress up. I'm sure Ella can prepare something absolutely scrumptious." Chris smiles "A party's a great idea! And do you think you could invite your brother Sam to come over, since he's my favorite uncle?" Lindsey hugs him "Of course, darling. You can have anything you want. Anything at all for my adorable baby boy." Ella smiles "If we're having a party tonight, this calls for heavy-duty cleaning. Time to clear some clutter" She laughs running away. Cream and Cookie smile excitedly. "Wow a party! This is great Sis! We love parties." "Yeah!" Scene changes to Chris's school. Danny smiles "A party?" Chris nods "Yeah. My mom wants us to have fun while she's home. My uncle's coming for the party, too." "The racer? Francis exclaimes. Chris smiles "Yeah, he's the coolest, and he's the leader of the S Team" Mr. Stewart eavesdrops from behind the door and chuckles walking away "Hmm" Back to the Thorndyke Residents it shows Cream and Cookie making the flower crowns. Cream frowns "This crown doesn't have enough flowers." Cookie smiles "Then we should pick more then! Come on Sis" With that they both run to the door and open it and run out to pick some more flowers. Once they made it downstairs Cream spots Lindsey hanging streamers for the party. "Oh!" Cookie then thinks "Hey Sis? Why don't we help decorate for the party instead?" "Good Idea!" Once again the scene changes back to the school. Chris is getting his stuff out of his locker when Mr. Stewart calls his name. "Hey Chris." "Huh?" "I haven't been teaching long, but I just wanted to say thanks. I'm really lucky to have so many intelligent and talented kids in my class." "Uh..." "You kids are terrific, and I want to know all of you better. So I'm coming to visit you and your family later today." Chris freaks out "Aah!" Mr. Stewart waves walking away "Huh, I can't wait to meet your mom and get her autograph." Chris gasps "Aah!"
