Chapter 9

"The new Emerald Coast Resort sounds like the perfect place to get away from it all. You can hang out at the beach, or float in the crystal-clear ocean all day long, then dine as you watch a spectacular sunset. It sounds absolutely romantic. I wish we were going to the opening party." Amy said excitedly. Cream smiles "We'll have fun at the Thorndyke's villa. Are you ready to go Cheese?" Cheese smiles "Chao! Chao!" Cookie smiles at her sister "I'm excited as well sis! I'm upset that I can't ride with you guys." Bubblegum frowns "Chao" Cream looks at Cookie "Don't worry Cookie, we'll see each other there soon. Besides you will get there before us" Tails nods "That is true. Besides I'm ready too, guys. My flight plan will take us right to the Emerald Coast." "Be careful, Tails, and try not to let anybody see you." Chris said while Life rolls her eyes "Like they are going to spot us?" Chuck agrees "She's right. They won't have a problem as long as they stay on the grounds of the villa." Sonic is sleeping while Chris is talking "I wish I could hang out with them instead of going to the resort opening." "I know, but your mother can't make it, so she needs you to go in her place. You won't have to stay long, and after, you can join the others at the villa." "That's great. *He turns to Sonic* I can give you a swimming lesson, Sonic." Life, Anthony, and Lilly start to laugh. Chris looks at them "What's so funny guys?" Manic smirks "Good luck getting Sonic in the water" Sonia laughs "Yeah, as you already know, Sonic can't swim, so I doubt he's going to join us there." Sonic opens his eyes "There right. I ain't going. You're just going to go on without me. I'm just going to stay right here" Amy gasps "What! Aww, Sonic I wanted you to come" Sonic got up to his feet "Sorry Ames, you know I don't like water." She frowns "I know but..." Life rolls her eyes "You do realize you're going to have to show up there in this Chapter right?" Sonic groans "Life, why do you always break the fourth wall!" Life shrugs but smirks "Because I know things that none of you know about. Besides I'm the one that has to teleport Cookie, Ant, Lil, Sonia, and Manic to the villa." Sonic rolls his eyes "Whatever, I'll see you guys later. I'm going for a run, See ya!" Then he run off. 

Tails sighs but makes a good point "What Sonic doesn't know is that he doesn't have to swim. He could go running on the beach." Amy frowns "It's not gonna be as much fun without Sonic." Chris thinks "Hmm" *Car horn gets him out of his trance* Ella calls out for him "Mr. Chris! We have to leave now or you'll be late for the ceremony." Chuck places a hand on his shoulder "Have a great time, Chris." He nods and turns to the others "We'll meet up later" Amy smiles "Okay, don't be long" Tails waves "See you there" "Chao, Chao, Chao." Amy smiles "And don't be nervous, Chris. That opening party will be just fine." Chris laughs nervously "Uh, yeah" Cookie, Anthony, Lilly, Sonia, and Manic grab on to each other while Life grabs Cookie's arm. "We'll see you there!" With that they teleport away while Tails is getting ready to blast off. He calls out "Next stop, Emerald Coast. Hang on. ....... Here we go!" They blast off into the sky while Chris is on the road smiling quietly. Then he spots the X Tornado above them "Huh? Ahh!" "Master Chris, remember that you are representing the Thorndyke family on this trip." Mr. Tanaka announced. Chris sly smiles "I'll do my best, Mr. Tanaka." Scene change to Sonic laying on the grass sniffing the flowers "Who needs the ocean?"

(Sonic X theme song played)

The scene opens up to Emerald Coast where Cookies&Cream are playing in the water with Cheese and Bubblegum in inner tubes laughing. They laugh even more when Tails and Lilly splash them with their tails with water. In the water is Amy swimming around looking at all the fish when Life appeared in front of her underwater "Hi Amy!" Amy jumps freaked out letting some water in swims up to the surface coughing out water. Life swims up to the surface with an apologetic face "Ah, sorry Amy! Forgot none of you can breath underwater" Amy sighs "It's alright and besides this place is unbelievable!" Tails smiles "It sure is Amy I'm really glad we came." Cream smiles "And we'll have even more fun when Chris gets here." Anthony laughs from the sand "I can't believe you scared Amy like that Life!" Life scoffs "I forgot none of you can breath underwater! Cut me some slack!" Sonia and Manic just shrug next to Anthony. At the opening there were a lot of people talking. Chris sighs. Mr. Tanaka leans down and whispers to him. "Try to look interested" Chris sly smiles when someone comes up to him for a handshake.
