Chapter 10

At night in the X Tornado Tails and Lilly are taking a stroll to see how it is running. "The X Tornado seems to be running really great since we installed the Chaos Emerald." Tails commented. Lilly agrees "Yeah, this has to be just about the smoothest flight we've been on. Huh? Tails what's wrong?" "I think it's picked up something." They both screamed "Ah!" Tails struggles "I can't control it." Lilly starts hyperventilating making Tails get worried. "Don't worry Lilly, we'll be fine just keep breathing" He looks down to the Chaos Emerald as it starts to glow even more. "Something's pulling us off course. Maybe it's another Chaos Emerald." Lilly starts to cry from her small panic attack. Tails is struggling to stop "Huh?" "Stop! Stop!" Someone said making Tails and Lilly turn their heads. Lilly stutters "I...I think w..we better go d..down there." Tails nods and turns around to land near the place. Once they landed they both got out of the X Tornado and Tails turned to Lilly. "Hey, are you okay?" She turned to him still shaking a bit but stopped crying. "Yeah... That was a bit unexpected so it scared me into having a panic attack..." Tails sighed "At least it wasn't anything too bad. Once we get back home I'll tell Life you had a panic attack, but in the meantime let's go and see what made the Chaos Emerald go off" She nods feeling better "Right, let's go"

They both start to walk towards these stairs leading somewhere. "Huh?" The lights from the stadium blind them. Lilly snaps out of it and gasps in awe. Tails notices and takes a look for himself to do the same. They both start to fly in excitement "Wow!" Once they both stopped flying they started to walk looking around when they spotted someone trying to start the engine of something. Lilly called out "Excuse me, sir." "Hello!" Tails said. They both turn to each other then shouts out together "Yo!" "Huh?" Tails and Lilly look at him with a smile making him gasp. "Keep away!" "Huh?" Lilly goes behind Tails while he freaks out "I'm sorry. It's just, we were in our plane and the Chaos Emerald started glowing and... Don't worry, mister, we won't hurt you." "Huh?" Scene changes to after Tails and Lilly finishes the story of what happened. Albert Butler spoke "Sure is some story. Never would have guessed that was you two flying that plane up there." Lilly looks at him "I wasn't flying it, Tails was. *Then she looks down* I was having a panic attack during the mishap" Tails sighs "I'm sorry if we frightened you just now, sir. We've never seen a stadium as pretty as this before. You know, the grass is practically glowing." Lilly smiles "Yeah, It's amazing!" "Thanks for the compliment. Lots of folks say that turf here at Diamond Stadium is the best in the world, which makes me happy because I've been the groundskeeper here at Diamond for 30 years." 

Tails smiles "Thirty years?" "You bet. Only I'm afraid today is my last day here at the old place. You see, the Diamonds' manager wants to build an indoor stadium with artificial turf, so this place is gonna be demolished. I tell you, leaving this place behind feels like the end of an era. By the way, did you mention something about an emerald?" Lilly smiles "Yeah." Tails reaches into his tails and grabs the Chaos Emerald "See, we're looking for an emerald just like this one. It's called the Chaos Emerald." Albert's eyes went wide "A what? Would this be what you're looking for?" he pulls out a light blue Chaos Emerald. Lilly gasps and screams out "Ah, a Chaos Emerald!" "I saw it laying next to the dumpster a couple of nights ago. Didn't know what it was." Both of the Chaos Emeralds light up making all three of them gasp in surprise. It makes a huge beam of light straight up making everyone look at it in surprise. Even a red echidna sees it. "I know that light." Scene changes to Eggman's Base. Deco points to the monitor. Dr. Eggman. Dr. Eggman, you might want to take a look at this, sir." He walks into the room and pauses at the sight. "Huh? What is that light?" "It appears to be coming from the baseball stadium." Eggman thinks "A stadium, you say? Fascinating. *He opens a drawer and picks up a baseball and chuckles* I have a feeling there's an Emerald out at that diamond."

(Sonic X theme song played)

Ella spoke "Let's start with our first course. Which knife and fork should we use?" Amy thinks "Uh, these." She laughs. Cream smiles "I agree" Cheese smiles as well "Chao, chao." Cookie laughs "Yeah!" Bubblegum raises her fork and knife, smiling "Chao!" Life and Anthony look at the fork and knives in confusion. "Uh...." Sonia and Manic look at them and facepalms. Ella smiles "Right, you're such smart children. And what good manners. *Then she turns to Life and Anthony* Don't worry, you two will get it someday" Life looks at her "It isn't that! It's just that I need to see it first to understand" She laughs slyly "That's how I learn" Anthony agrees "Same with me" Ella smiles "That's okay. Here I'll show you." She shows them which one is which. Life smiles "Oh! Thanks Ella!" "Yeah thanks" She laughs "No problem!" Sonic eating an apple comments "I don't see why we have to learn all this etiquette baloney in the first place." Chris turns to him "My mom says it's important to learn good manners so we can eat properly." Sonic rolls his eyes "Well, I never learned anything about manners and I've been eating my whole life." Sonia scoffs "That's because you've never listened to mom about this." Manic agrees "Yeah, you just rolled your eyes and ate ignoring her. Yet she still loves you" Sonic opens one eye "What's that supposed to mean?" Sonia crosses her arms "Yeah Manic, what do you mean?" He jumps and sweat drops "N..nothing!" Sonic and Sonia just glare at him. Chuck still eating changes the subject. "I wonder what's keeping Tails and Lilly. They should be back by now."
