Early Days

Hey guyss i havent posted in soo long so here ya go

6:00am

beep beep beep
David's alarm made its annoying noise and woke him up. Letting out a groan, he got ready for school.
David is 14 years old, going through puberty and a dorky popular kid in his school. Girls fell in love with his humor and boys find him very masculine.

Right after eating breakfast, he wore his headphones and started playing his tunes. As he walked out of the doorway, his attention was caught by his next-door neighbor, Natalie Mariduena, who he also went to school with. Ever since he first saw her, he could never stop looking at her, and as much as he wanted to talk to her, he always chickened out.

Natalie saw the boy walk out of his home and decided to wave at him. The gesture made David smitten and blush, and gave Natalie a small wave back.

David's school was a 10 minute walk from his house, so he decided to not take the bus unlike the other students. When he arrived at the school, he was greeted by his friends and some flirty smirks and waves by the girls in the hallway. He still never liked them back, he had eyes for another girl, who just walked in.

As soon as Natalie was in sight at the hallway, whispers were being heard. Natalie was a bit of a loner, she had one friend, Reggie. But overall, she didn't talk to anyone else. Some of the popular girls would make fun of her, but Natalie was a girl who didn't care, which was one of the reasons why David liked her.

"Ooh Dave who you lookin' at??" said Dom, one of David's friends who was standing beside him by the lockers.
"Huh? Nothingg" David's response was quite quick. You can tell he had a slight panic attack.

Natalie passed by David and gave him a small smile, which made his heart skip a beat, which was evident on his soft face. And the girls who had a crush on the boy couldn't help but be envious of. That was also one of the reasons why they would make fun of her, its because of their jealousy that she won over the dork's heart.

At the canteen (Lunch break)

Lunch is a time to either start drama, or to just be mature and eat your food. Its noisy and you can hear David's table screaming and laughing. Natalie and Reggie sat across them.

"Geez those boys need to calm down" Reggie commented, making Natalie chuckle. Reggie was Natalie's dearest friend. She trusted him with all her soul, and loved him like a brother. Natalie was one of the first people to find out Reggie was gay, and she still accepted him as her best friend.

"Look! He glanced at you again!" Reggie pointed at David, who was stealing glances from his crush. Reggie always wanted Natalie and David to get together, but Natalie's introverted self wont allow it.
"Reggie, he wasnt, he's just checking the food out" Natalie tried to defend, but miserably failed.
"Whatever Nat, but I'm a thousand percent sure he likes you"

When school was almost over, David decided to man up and talk to Natalie.
He walked over to her locker.
"Hey, I'm David" He greeted.
"Oh umm... hi?" She was questioning why was he saying hi to her.
"Oh shit. Did I scare you? I swear I'm not a kidnapper" He half-joked. Natalie laughed it off.
"No you didn't. Do you need anything from me? Why are you talking to me?" She questioned.
"I was wondering if you wanted to walk home together, but it's totally fine if you dont want to i mean we-" his rambling was cut-off by a "Sure" from Natalie, making David smile.

As they walked home, they talked even more and learned more about each other. Once they arrived, they said their goodbyes and headed to their respective homes.

Natalie immediately texted Reggie:

Reggggg
I talked to himmm
He's so cuteee
Reggie:
Told u so bichh

She dropped her phone and smiled, she really enjoyed his company.
