when jeno arrived at the company that morning, jaehyun was already there, greeting the employees along as he made his way towards his office.

jeno snarled.

he didn't understand why jaehyun would come all this way.

jeno knew what he was doing.

he was trying to get his life together.

he didn't want those words from jaemin to haunt him.

"i don't know if i can do this anymore.."

that was so typical of jaemin.

the boy was so afraid and careful of all that surrounded him.

the problem with jaemin was that he cared too much about what others thought.

he didn't let himself breathe.

he didn't let himself live.

but jeno couldn't understand why someone like jaemin would care so much about others.

to jeno, jaemin is perfect in every way possible.

but he shouldn't have let things get too far if he knew jaemin couldn't handle it.

jeno made it to his shared office with jaehyun.

he walked over to his desk and sat his things down.

"you don't really know why you're here, do you?"

jeno asked and jaehyun looked up from him.

"i do, i wanted to see the how the company ran in action."

jaehyun replied.

"we both know you're bad at lying. you don't even know why you're chasing after me."

jeno said and crossed his arms.

jaehyun raised his brow at his younger brother.

the somewhat transfer to the company had hardened jeno in a way that jaehyun couldn't understand.

jeno was looking right at him with his little brother's face but the person he was talking to was far from the jeno he knew.

"what about you? did you think you could just run away from the memories that you didn't want to keep?"

jaehyun said and jeno paused.

he didn't know what else to say.

it wasn't that he was running away.

jeno's not running.

he just left.

"stop picking on me if you can't even keep your girl from loving another man."

jeno snapped at jaehyun and this time jaehyun was silent.

"you keep thinking she'll love you back but that's not reality. face the facts, she's still in love with jaemin."

"mind your own business."

he growled out and pushed himself away from his desk.
