Chapter 29

"I love you"

I looked at him waiting. When he didn't answer I broke. Tears wielding up in my eyes. He just stood there staring off into space.

"G-gaara?" I stuttered out. On the verge of crying I looked at him. He becomes blurry as my tears began to form. I sobbed and fell to the floor. Looking down at the ground before I heard a shuffle. I see Gaara moving. He walks over to me and falls to the ground.

Latching onto me he starts to cry. Hugging me around me waist, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. I bury my head into his shoulder.

"I love you too." He chokes out between sobs. My mouth opens in shock and I held onto him tighter. I held a huge smile on my face. Letting go a bit I looked at him. Kissing him again I notice him kissing back.

"Naru will you be my boyfriend." He asks me I jumped onto him. Knocking us both to the floor. Me on top of him I laughed. Nodding my head excitedly. He laughs too and holds onto me.

After a while we get up and head to town. Looking around we noticed people staring. They were looking down in between us. We looked at our locked hands. Looking confused at each other. We looked back at the people again sighing we just walked away.

"What is up with these people?" We asked each other before laughing when we said it at the same time.

We walked to the hotel. Walking inside we see Fuu waiting for us. She sees and smiles really big. Looking at our hands she squealed in excitement.

"You guys are dating!! Yay its about time!" She screams before noticing evryone staring at her. She quiets down before grabbing my hands. Dragging me and Gaara with her. Heading straight to our room.

Handing us our key we opened the door. Seeing Zabuza and Haku on one bed. They looked at us in shock.

"Holy shit."

"You guys are dating!!" Haku screams in excitement. Zabuza looks at him and laughs. Haku blushes in embarrassment. Which made all of us laugh except Zabuza. Who in turn blushes with Haku.

"You guys are so cute." Gaara and I say teasing them. They both blushed more until Haku spoke up.

"Awe you guys are so cute! Already talking as one. You guys were made for each other!" Haku yells while Zabuza nodded in agreement. Sighing me and Gaara hopped into bed and laid down. Soon after we both fell asleep.

-Back at the village-

"Will you shut up!" Shikamaru yells. Someone right behind him complaining.

"Oh come on Shika. Why don't we go on a date? You can't say you don't like me until after you know me." The person yells in desperation. Shikamaru sighs in annoyance.

"Fuck it! Fine Hidan we will go on a date! You happy now!?" He yells. Hidan gaining a huge grin on his face. Screaming in victory he grabs his hand. Dragging Shikamaru down the street passing Tenten and Ino. The both of them laughing at the sight.

Walking away Tenten looks at Ino. Smiling she starts to talk.

"So Ino? How are you today?" Tenten asks nervously rubbing her hands together. Ino smiles at her.

"I'm doing great. Never thought leaving the leaf would make me this happy. Yet living alone is lonely. I was gonna ask someone to move in with me. Maybe all us girls could live in a house. At least I thought. Until I saw Sakura." Ino tells her. Tenten looks at her curiosity taking over. All nervousness gone and out the window.

"What do you mean? What happened with Sakura? Details Ino!" Tenten says to her looking curious and latches onto her arm. Ino blushes at the sudden contact yet she smirks and leans in.

"Someone has a crush... I caught her staring at a certain someone." Ino whispers in her ear. Shivers going down her spine. Tenten looks shocked and cofused all at once.

"Who? Who was she staring at?" Tenten asks her. Ino smirks even wider and whistled innocently. Walking away letting Tenten go as she looks shocked before running after her.

"You can't just leave me like that!" Tenten yells running. Catching up Ino laughs walking beside Tenten. Looking over she leans in close to whisper in her ear. Tenten blushing at how close Ino was.

"Sakura was staring at her sensei."

*gasp*

"You serious!" Tenten gasps in shock. Ino smiles widely and nods.

"Yes she was all over him with her eyes. You want to know the biggest part!" Ino asks her expectantly. Tenten nods and looks at her.

"Kakashi was doing the same to her!" Ino squeals. Tenten squeals happily and Ino jumped around excited. Causing Tenten to blush once more. Yet she ignored it this time.

"I ship it" They both screamed at the same time.

-Back with Shikamaru and Hidan-

Shikamaru's Pov:

Hidan continued to drag me down the street. Until we stopped in front of a new restaurant. This restaurant just opened up. One of the guys we saved opened it up. They were an amazing cook. The owner goes by the name Kuri. He's a really nice guy who just married his best friend that was with him. Her name is Kass. The restaurant has been doing amazing so far. Its been a big hit.

I looked at Hidan. Noticing that he had a huge smile on his face. Like he was very happy about something. He looked at me expectingly. I gave him a questioning glance.

"Are you ready to go in?" Hidan asks me smiling. I sighed but grabbed his hand. Dragging him inside I hear him chuckling.

"That eager huh?" Hidan laughs. I sighed even more.

'He's so troublesome.'

Getting our table we sit down. Ordering our food Hidan looks at me. I gave him another questioning glance. He sighs.

"What's with all the questions glances? Can't we just talk? I took you out because I like you. Not as friend but as a lover. Can't you give me a chance? I've changed you know. I'm not the same guy people knew me as. You've changed me and I can't get you out of my head. I need you!" He yells getting down on his knees. I looked at him shocked.

'He looks so desperate. This is so.. Troublesome.'

"Please?" He asks me crying. I grabbed him and held onto him. Sighing some more.

"Will you stop? Your embarrassing." I say laughing a bit. He just laughs with me and smiles a little bit. When he saw something in my eyes.

"Now, how about that date you promised me?" I asked him after I calmed down a bit. He smiles and gets off the floor. Sitting back down in his seat. The waiter comes back with our food, setting it down on the table.

"So why? Why did you give me a chance?" Hidan asks me confused. I looked up at him and sighed.

"Why not? Why wouldn't I give the man I like a chance?" I told him and watched as he got so happy. Jumping over the table he hugs me. Crying tears of joy into my shoulder.

"I knew you liked me." He mutters into my shoulder. I sighed but laughed a bit.

I pat his back awkwardly. Lifting his head I sighed and kissed him. He kisses back immediately. Smiling into the kiss.

"Sure you did Hidan. Can we finish eating now?" I asked him and he laughs.

"No." He kisses me again then looks me in the eyes. Smirking he finally says.

"Okay now we can." He says laughing as hesits back down.
