Chapter 16

~New year's~

We're at MBC Gayo Daejejeon for new year's and it surprisingly got packed fast. I haven't seen nor spoke to Taeyong in a long time besides working at Inkigayo. He is still the dick he is towards everyone even me, but I mean that's just who he is. We were sitting at our table watching the performances. When I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and to my surprise it's Taeyong. He whispered and called me out to go talk. So it won't look suspicious he left first and after a while I did too. I go out and try to look for him, but I couldn't find him so turned to go back, but he appeared behind me.

Seulgi: Shit you scared.
Taeyong: uh huh okay yeah let's go.
Seulgi: Where?
Taeyong: A room.

He dragged me by my wrist and found a room shoved me in and closed the door behind him locking it. He then looks back at me and I stand there not knowing what to do.

Seulgi: I'm here because..?
Taeyong: For my kiss.

He said in an unfazed cold voice.

Seulgi: I'm sorry what? Your kiss?
Taeyong: Mhm

He said while scrolling through his phone.

Seulgi: What do you mean your kiss?
Taeyong: My kiss for New year's.
Seulgi: What makes you think I'm going to kiss you?

That sounded so bad and now I felt so bad. He looked back up at me.

Taeyong: You promised me a kiss on New year's.
Seulgi: but that's when we were together....
Taeyong: I don't care if we're not together or not I still want that kiss, Seulgi.

I smiled to myself as he went back on his phone. After seconds later we hear fireworks and shouts saying Happy New Year. Taeyong looks at me again and walks closer wrapping his hand around my waist bringing me into his embrace giving me a passionate kiss on the lips. After we pulled away from the kiss I suddenly realized I never promised anything for New Year's.

Seulgi: Hey! You lied to me! I never promised you a kiss!
Taeyong: Yeah I know. I just wanted a kiss from you.
Seulgi: Why?
Taeyong: Because I miss you that's all.
Seulgi: I miss you too.

Taeyong then got a message.

Taeyong: Hey seulgi I got to go Johnny said he's waiting for me.
Seulgi: wait.
Taeyong: what?
Seulgi: Can we talk tomorrow...about us?

He seemed to soften and looked at me at me sadly.

Taeyong: Yeah we can. Text me the time and place I'll be there. 
Seulgi: Okay see you then.

He quickly leaves and I wait a little bit after him to not get caught. After minutes I leave and Irene Sees me.

Irene: Oh hey! We were about to go looking for you C'mon let's go we need to go home to get some rest we're going on a little Sm project tomorrow.
Seulgi: The things we do together are so fun!
Joy: I wonder what we're wearing?
Wendy: Depending where we're going.
Yeri: I heard we're going to be doing haunted escape rooms from xiumin.
Irene: ugh are you serious?

Our manager explained what we'll be doing tomorrow and Yeri was right it was at a haunted escape room. We get dropped off at home we soon go to sleep. That means we can't meet up to talk. I quickly text him.

Message w/ Taeyong:

Seulgi: Hey we won't be able to talk tomorrow because of the activity
Taeyong: I know we can talk right now by the pool?
Seulgi: Yeah okay I'll meet you there.

Without telling my members I quickly leave the dorm silently and head to the pool deck. I get there and see Taeyong waiting looking at the city lights. I go up to him and he looks up at me then holds my hand to make me sit next to him. It was silent for a while and it was more awkward than before since we haven't spoken in 5 months and we just started a new year.

Taeyong: So how are you feeling right now?
Seulgi: Kind of nervous.
Taeyong: Why?
Seulgi: I don't know we just haven't spoken in a really long time besides at work.
Taeyong: So you wanted to talk about us?
Seulgi: Yeah....I did.
Taeyong: Okay so how should we um start?
Seulgi: Well I'm healed already that's all I know for sure. How have you been holding up?
Taeyong: To be completely honest I have been a wreck without you. I haven't been doing so well.
Seulgi: I'm sorry, Taeyong. I-
Taeyong: You don't have to be sorry. There's nothing to be sorry for. What matters is that you're all better, right?
Seulgi: Yeah.
Taeyong: come here.

He held one arm open signaling me to scoot closer to him. So I did and he had his arm wrapped around me. I was looking down at my feet not knowing where else to look. Are we together now?

Taeyong: Seulgi since we're together again.

Hearing those words answered my question and prayers.

Taeyong: Please don't feel uncomfortable around me and if there's anything bugging you please tell me. I don't want to feel like I'm not making you happy.
Seulgi: I will.
Taeyong: Good because you make me the happiest person right now.

I was getting tired and Taeyong wanted me to go to sleep with him.

Seulgi: I don't know if I can.
Taeyong: Oh c'mon! Irene is with Johnny right now knocked out.
Seulgi: Irene?!
Taeyong: Yes ask her tomorrow so please??
Seulgi: Okay okay!

We go to his dorm and head to his room. I go lay in his bed already tired as hell and I was slowly falling sleeping. Taeyong snuggles up to me.

Taeyong: You don't know how much I missed you.

He kissed my cheek and we both fall asleep.
