Pregnant

Natasha was almost certain that today was the happiest day of her life. She had only agreed to marry Steve if he was okay with not having children, as the Red Room had sterilised her when she was young. He had said that it was fine, that they could always adopt. There are always children out there that could use their help and a loving home. She had been gonbmacked when she saw the result on the thin white stick she had borrowed from Pepper. She refused to believe it until she bought about twelve others, all different brands, and all of them read positive.

Romanogers are not a normal couple, so Nat didn't want to tell Steve the big news the normal way. She and Pepper came up with a plan. All of the Avengers would be called on a mission. Rather than finding bad guys at the location, they would find a slip of paper with a clue on. This would lead them to the next clue, which would lead them to the next, etc. Then, at the final location, Nat would make the announcement to all of her family.

When she got home that night, she had to pretend to be normal so Steve didn't suspect anything. The best way to do that would probably be to watch a movie with the others, like they did pretty much every other night. So of course, that's not what she did. She cooked a meal, which she never did, and googled good conversation topics, which she would never normally use, in case she got nervous. She basically told her husband that something was different.

Steve arrived at their floor in the compound to the smell of burning food and an angry Nat making PB&J sandwiches.
"I did have a nice meal planned. But we both know that I can't cook for sh...the life of me. So we're on Natasha Rogers' Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches." That was Steve's first clue that something was different. Normally, Nat wouldn't hesitate to swear. He looked puzzled, bit didn't say anything. When Nat started asking him what he thought the best questions to ask at the end of a job interview were over their sandwiches, he got really suspicious.

"Tasha, what's up? You've been acting weird all night?" Steve asked gently.
"I was gonna wait to tell you tomorrow with the others, but I'm too excited. I'm pregnant!" She exclaimed. The expression of shock on Steve's face made her giggle. He looked at her with a questioning look, and she nodded, a smile creeping across her round face.
"How? I thought you were sterile? Oh my God, Tash, this is amazing!" He knelt in front of Nat and started whispering to her stomach. "Hey there, little one. I'm your Dad. We can't wait to meet you, little one. You are gonna love all of your Uncles and Aunties, and I'm sure Uncle Tony will spoil you so much. And Uncle Clint will be so excited, so will your cousins. Uncle Bruce and Uncle Bucky won't want to hold you at first, but don't be offended, they're like that with everyone. Your Auntie Wanda will love you so much and she'll make sure you never have a nightmare in your life. Uncle Thor's very loud, but you get used to him." Steve led Natasha to the sofa, not stopping talking to their baby all the way. "Your Mummy already loves you more than anything else in the world, and she is a tough nut to crack, so well done, little one. I can tell by her smile. I'll teach you how to read all of your family's faces when you get here, but you can tell how your mum is feeling by her eyes. You see, right now, they're light green, which shows she's happy. I'd try to avoid her when they're dark though, because that's when she's about to shout."

They sat like this for an entire hour, just talking to their unborn child which wasn't even seeable. Nat filled him in on her plan to tell the others, which he loved and thought was great, and the expecting couple fell asleep in each others arms.

The Next Day

Fury ran into the room, shouting for the Avengers to suit up and meet on the jet, and it was apparently a mission that requires all of them. Nat and Steve smirked at each other, which the others obviously picked up on.
"It's like, a kink of theirs. Seeing each other fight turns them on." Tony explained, and all of the others nodded in agreement. Steve was bright red and Nat, as ever, looked as cool as a cucumber.

Nat pulled on her tight leather catsuit, and saw that it was difficult to fasten. She smiled at herself in the mirror. Evidence that there was a little baby, a symbol of their love, growing inside her.
"Steve, I need help! My jacket won't fasten!" She called. Steve was right there, pulling up the zipper, tenderly trailing his other hand and a handful of kisses up her back. She turned around and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. "As much as I love you," she began, "we have a 'mission' to get to. To be continued?"
"Definitely,"

The entire team arrived at the old warehouse. Someone remarked that it was the perfect place for an evil lair, and the rest agreed. Nat and Steve interlocked their finger. They had spent all morning on this, and really hoped the others enjoyed it.

Clint was the one to spot the pink slip of paper lying on the floor. He picked it up and ready out to the entire group.
"Go to that place,
Where the boy with the pretty face,
Proposed to his girlfriend
Right at the very end
Of that sandy beach
With the donkeys you can reach" (???? Donkeys on beaches are so British, but I couldn't think of anything else 😬)

After a scan for heat signatures, the team hopped back on the jet and flew to the white sand beach where Steve had proposed to Nat. Still in full armour, the entire squad strode towards the guy at the donkey stand.
"Oh, you're the Avengers! I was told to give you...this!" He exclaimed, pulling a blue slip of paper from his pocket. Tony read it out.
"Next you should go,
(You won't like it though,)
To the place in Wakanda,
That you lost to Thanos."

They flew to Wakanda in record breaking speed, due to a project that Peter, Shuri, Bruce and Tony had been working in which made traveling incredibly easy. Okoye was waiting for them, a slip of paper identicle to the first in her hand. She gave it to them wordlessly and strutted off. Peter read this time.
"Only two left now!
This went fast, wow,
The final paper slip
Is right on the ship
That I assume you've been flying around on!"

Peter ran off to get Shuri so she could join their hunt while the others searched every inch of their ship for the final piece of paper. Bucky found it and read out loud: "Romanogers wedding." As soon as the two teenagers arrived back, they set of for Clint's farm where the wedding had been held, in the big red barn. Clint was worried out of his mind about Laura and the kids.

The Barton family, aside from Clint, were in on the plan, and had been preparing food and putting up decorations in their barn all morning. Nat had told them all exactly what to say when everyone got there, and Lila was quizzing Nathaniel on his lines. As soon as they heard the jet on the lawn, they got into position and waited for Clint to burst through the door to the barn, which he did a few moments later, followed closely by the others.
"Laura! Lila, Cooper, Nate, thank God you're safe! I was so worried! What's all of this?"
"Glad you asked! We wanted to throw a little get together, and I knew the only way to get you all here was to say it was an urgent mission. So, with Nat and Steve's help, we managed to get you all here!" Laura said, as if reading from a scrip.
"What about the treasure hunt?" Tony asked.
"That was just for fun!" Little Nate exclaimed.

The group chatted for a while, when Laura said "hang on, I'll be right back, there's a bun in the oven" before walking over to Nat and hugging her. It took a while for the group to get it, but eventually it clicked in Wanda's mind and she squealed and almost knocked Nat and Steve over on a bone-crushing hug. One by one the group understood and offered their congratulations and hugs to the couple. It took over ten minutes of explaining to Thor for him to get it, but when he did he shouted:
"Congratulations Queen Natasha and King Steve, your mini person is in his way!" The others were a bit confused by his wording, but they appreciated the sentiment anyway.

The Bartons took out the baby themed food from the kitchen, and everyone went up to Steve and Nat individually, each one (except Thor, who didn't know what one was) demanding to be a Godparent. The Rogers family knew that whether they were there or not, their baby would be the most well protected child in America, if not the world.

Thank you for reading, should I do a part two with their baby/babies in it? (I don't know why I'm asking, I probably will anyway and no-one will tell me 😂). Should I do one baby, twins, or triplets? What genders? Names? (Lol, there's no point in me asking coz I'll just end up trying to decide myself, failing, and asking my brother😂😂😅)

Xoxo
