Chapter 8 - First Fifth of Day Two in the Arena

Harry's POV

She had gave me time to think until the morning. I woke up to see the sun beginning to shine in my face. No. I haven't decided yet. No! I heard Katniss stir beside me. My tongue felt like it had swelled a lot through the night. I needed water. Fast. Peeta was awake. He was drinking out of his water bottle. He looked at me as I licked my dry lips.

'Have some,' he whispered, passing me the bottle. I looked at it. Could it be poisoned? He sighed and drank from it a bit more, then passed it back to me. He wouldn't drink something that he had poisoned. I drank it all, but that didn't quench my thirst entirely. Oh well. It was better than nothing.

'Thanks,' I said, handing him back his bottle. He smiled in return.

'Take this,' he said, gesturing towards the snake antidote.'Take it and run before she wakes,' he nodded towards the antidote. I just stared at him blankly. Was it a trap? He sighed again and placed the antidote in my hand.

'Run. Go save your friend.' I got up and quietly ran away. I ran to go save Louis' life.

Selena's POV

It was the morning. And the cave stank of Justin. The helicopter couldn't retrieve his body from the cave woth me here, so his death just stank the place up so badly I wanted to vomit. I grabbed his weapons and my items and headed off into the desert. Now who to kill? I looked around the landscape and saw a person running towards a small group of people. One looked either dead or close to dead. Then that is where I should go.

Rose's POV

I woke up in the morning, the morning sun already baking me. My head hurt badly and my thigh was screaming in pain. I looked at it and saw that someone had stabbed me there. But who? I looked for Dimitri, shaking my head while I thought of places he could have gone. After shaking my head enough to clear the fog out, I searched for him again. All I saw was blood stained sand around me. Where was Dimitri? Why didn't he protect me from the stabber? Why has he left me? I packed up our belongings and went to find the man I love.

Louis' POV

I looked down at my snakebite; it was red and swollen. It was horrible to look at; it looked like something out of a horror movie. I was going to die. There was no way around it. My vision was blurred, my body was tingling, every breath hurt, but the pain wasn't that bad; it was just the pain of trying to breath that was excruciating. Why wouldn't someone, anyone, put me out of my misery? Where was Harry?

'Louis? You're awake!' Cher exclaimed. I looked up, something I shouldn't do, as it made it harder to breath.

'Hey Louis,' Jayden said.

'Where's Harry?' I asked. Cher and Jayden shared a glance. 'Where is he?' I repeated. It was getting even harder to breath, but they didn't seem to notice.

'I'm not sure,' Cher said after a moment of silence. 'I heard a scream and we both came running. All we saw was you.'

'He left me,' I muttered, trying to hide my shock. 'Harry left me for dead.'

Katniss' POV

I woke up to see Peeta on sentry, also toying with his water bottle.

'Hey babe,' I said, stretching my arms above my head. 'Where did Harry go?' He shook his head. I went to the bag that had held the medicine. It was gone.

'Did you have something to do with this?' I asked him, looking at him from the corner of my eye.

'Must have got up and left with the medicine while we were asleep,' he said, still toying with his water bottle.
