Chapter 4

Lourdes was becoming harder to allude to. But then again her being a freakin vampire. Why should I be able to do that easily? And I've tried everything but she's truly immortal. She's not fazed by anything. Holy water doesn't bother her. Garlic only makes her get a slight rash. Wooden stakes only make her bleed. Wait a second, vampires don't bleed unless they're burned. So she can't be fully vampire. She must still be slightly human. Which means I can still able to kill her somehow.

So I stopped flying and let myself plummet.

Down.Down.Down.Faster and Faster.Until I felt a familiar being swoop towards me.

"You know kid if you're trying to kill yourself. You got to try a little bit harder."

"I know, I need to speak with her."

"Alright."

And with that Tiki flung me into the air and sent me plummeting again. But instead of hitting the hard ground I transformed and landed in a pile of soft underwater clay.

I already knew what form I was in since I can't breathe underwater in my human or bird form. Little sea creatures came from their hiding spots and I bared my teeth. Sending them scattering.

"Now what is it you wanted to talk to me about."

"There's a group of kids I found. But in order to get through them, I have to get through a vampire hybrid and a giant cyclops. I need the advice to defeat the pair."

She paused

"Do you know the other side of the vampire?"

"It might be human or something supernatural. After All, she's unfazed by frickin holy water!"

"The cyclops is simple. Fire will suffice. But as for the vampire, find her weakness and build upon that. Now you must leave'"

Before I could respond a grey fog enveloped me and suddenly I was in my human form again right where I was supposed to land earlier.

"You know"

I jumped but realized it was just Igna. She paused and started again.

"You know ...you shouldn't be asking for advice through Ravana. I should know that's how I ended up here."

Does she know about the sea witch? How!?

"How did you know I came from whoever you said?"

"I watched you disappear and reappear in a haze of grey smoke. And I know that you don't teleport.I've watched you enough to know that."

She got me there.

"But how did you know I'd appear here?"

"Ravana is a very predictable person. She repeats herself constantly. Whatever you were talking about she places you near a resource. Now, what were you talking about if she brought you to me."

"Do you know what Lourdes' other side is ?"

"I do. But why are you curious about it?"

"It's just ...that the day ...I ...I saw her walk through a puddle of holy water. And I thought 'Wait a second. She's part vampire. How come she isn't like dying?' "

"Interesting point. But I have to ask. Why did you have holy water?"

"I was cleaning my eyes and it spilled. I was in the process of getting a mop to clean it up when Lourdes came to check on me."

I paused

"She walked into the puddle and was still standing there when I retrieved the mop."

She paused evaluating my words. "If I may ask. Why do you clean your eyes with holy water?"

I stayed quiet. I couldn't bring myself to tell her. So I just shook my head no and jumped up, shifting forms. I adorned the beautiful wings of a falcon. And sat upon a branch.

I watched the two from a distance. Ig said she could sense someone communicating with the 'underwater one'. Her instincts are almost never wrong. So I allowed her to go investigate if I was nearby. So here I am standing and leaning on a tree trunk 50 feet in the air.

That little one was telling the majority of the truth. Except she was also drinking some of the holy water. I am pretty sure she is trying to suppress something. Something evil and cruel.

She's been acting really sketchy lately. But it's almost as if she's out for me. But I'm no ordinary vampire. I'm not fazed by holy water, garlic, or wooden stakes or any type of cross. In fact, I have a reflection. On most surfaces I look human unless the surface is pure then you can see my true form.

I was going to get closer when a certain vampire lands on my branch.

"Hey, Dez."

"Hey Az

I get pressed against the trunk of the tree.

"Are you in the middle of something or can I come back later."

"Later would be nice but I enjoy the company though."

I sat down on the branch. I see Az float down. I also noticed that Igna and Dio were walking/flying back towards the house to talk more. Ig gave me the signal that everything was fine before entering the house. I was immediately tackled off the tree by Az.
