I was back to being alone in the room. But I had to look forward to tonight. Azrael might come back tonight. But still, something didn't seem right. But still, something didn't seem right.
I couldn't ponder on it for too long because someone knocked on the door. I see Igna learned her lesson from last time.
"You can come in Ig. He's gone." I closed the window as she came in.
"I see you're pretty much back to your old self huh?"
"Yeah. I guess I am."
There was a sudden moment of silence.
"So....You and Azrael huh?" Igna said breaking the silence.
I chuckled and shoved her shoulder playfully.
"We..He...was just happy to see that I was 'alive'. And I was happy to see him again." I defended.
"Tell me one thing ...Is he a good kisser?"
"YES! Yes, he's a good kisser !" I said and felt myself getting flustered thinking about kissing him. I didn't realize I was staring into space until Ig snapped me back into reality.
"Hey, Lourdes you okay."
" Yeah, I'm okay just a bit tired."
"You just woke up! "
"I know but still I have very little energy seeing how I've been asleep for three days."
She gave me an incredulous look and there was a beat of silence.
"What time is it?" She chuckles
"It's half-past three."
I was about to respond back. But there was a loud boom that came from out in the field. The sickening smell of a dead body filled the air. I looked out the window and saw a girl with shimmering emerald orbs of the deceased Diodotus.
I threw open a window and threw myself out. My wings ripping through my shirt. I darted towards the girl. But landed gracefully in front of her.
"Who are you?" I hissed as I toward over her.
"I'm Ayla Acampora.Light Spryte. I'm a friend of Diodotus.."
"Why are you here?"
"You know why I'm here."
I spread my wings to make myself look bigger. The tangy smell of fear wafted from her. She closed her eyes and opened them again and a blinding light came from them. Diodotus emerged and stood by Ayla's side.
"You killed my friend and I'm gonna make you pay for it."
She lunged for me and missed. I bared my teeth and grabbed the girl. Biting her and injecting her with venom. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar dark figure. It flew towards me and soon I was engulfed in darkness.
"Anyone there?" I spoke towards the darkness.
Silence.Nothing.I could hear nothing. Faintly, I could hear a voice. I couldn't make out what it was saying. The source was too far away. It echoed and got louder and louder.
"Lourdes!" It shouted getting even louder.
"I'm right here!" I shouted back but I wasn't sure if anyone can hear me.
A familiar seawater scent filled my nose.
"Lourdes." Igna touched my shoulder.
I tried to respond but the darkness was holding me still. I felt myself being lifted by a figure I couldn't make out.
