Third Person POV:

Jungkook had been suffering with his inner demons and emotions eating him alive, day by day. He felt so frail and cold that every time he were to move, his bones ached. The poor reaper hadn't been taking care of himself, all he could think about was the pain that continued to grow. His main focus was to try and hide his pain, somehow get rid of it some other way, but there was nothing that he could do about it.

He knew that he had to let something go in order to gain another, yet, he could not. The fact that he failed at doing so added another burden onto him. He didn't want to commit to leaving his precious memories of Mina, for she was etched onto his heart.

Jungkook needed Taehyung, but he didn't want to admit what he felt from him. What Taehyung gave him that nobody else but Mina gave him, after so long.

He tried avoiding everything by going back to work and attending a few meetings with the higher ups— even though he himself is above them, he chose to work under them.

"Jungkook." One of the higher ups called, pulling him to the side, "You look so pale, what's gotten into you?" Frowning, "are you alright?"

Jungkook faked a smile and scratched the back of his head, "I—I'm fine, just... a little tired."

The man looked at him with a raised brow and heaved a sighed, massaging his temples. The man then placed a hand onto Jungkook's shoulder, "You look more than just tired." Emphasizing his last word and air quoting, "Listen, nobody else has to know, I won't tell anyone about this either, but I'll give you some time off alright?"

Jungkook then frowned, "But, sir—"

"No." The man cut him off, "I don't want you back here until you are better, and that you're sure of it. Do you understand?"

Jungkook simply nodded, and bowed, "thank you, sir."

After that, he was sent home. Everything was dull. At least, when he was working, the pain didn't get to him as badly as it did when he's at home alone and far away from comfort. He felt worse as a rising migraine came to him.

Jungkook didn't even realize that two weeks had passed since he left Taehyung alone to spend time with his family. He felt bad for leaving him like that, with nothing to feed on.

"He must be starving..." Jungkook sighed. Closing the front door, he walked towards the kitchen and placed a hand on the counter after putting his keys down. His stomach churned all of a sudden, he couldn't help but clutch it. As he tried walking around the counter, yet again, his memories started flooding in.

Jungkook felt sick to his stomach. He felt like he couldn't walk anymore as his knees started to buckle and he started to shake again, wincing from the awful feeling.

He tried taking another step, and with that step, he could not hold himself any longer. Jungkook slammed onto the floor, so hard, his ears were ringing and his migraine began to feel like he was being shot in the head. His vision was slightly blurry from the tears formed when he slammed onto the ground.

"Fuck..." he cursed, fighting his urge to scream and cry from the way his heart was now destroying him from the inside out.

His inner demons kept haunting him, the bond only made him as frail as ever, desperate and in need of some form of human contact. Jungkook knows that he's only going to fall again if he tried getting up, so he didn't bother. Instead, he propped himself up on his elbows and took a minute to think.
