I waited... all I did was wait it out. Give him time. Give... time for myself to figure out what happened, or, is happening.

I didn't want to think about anything, but all that clouded my mind was... him.

I can't... recognize him— his eyes... those eyes that used to be filled with so much emotion, with so much joy, with so much anger, and sadness... those eyes that I used to recognize that belonged to the one I love, are now gone.

It's as if you could see straight through his soul by looking into his eyes. How broken it is, how he's tried desperately to fix it and put everything inside him back together... but instead, it's just a mess.

He's not the same anymore.

And I'm afraid he let everything consume him.

"Tae." Jungkook simply said, monotonous.

"Y—yes? Jungkook?"

He lifted up his head and his eyes laid back onto mine, "I'm feeling kind of hungry."

Again... he said it in such a plain and boring tone, as if everything inside him was stripped and thrown away, leaving an empty shell of nothingness, "I don't think I can bring myself to do anything, right now... do you know how to cook?" He asked.

I gulped. My whole mouth and throat was dry, and I gulped. Though it didn't do anything, I simply did so out of nervousness.

"Yes, I do know how to cook, but I can't taste anything..." taking a moment to breathe, "I can do my best to eyeball it. What would you like?" I asked.

"Ah..." was all he said, and he went quiet. For a minute or so, he thought and sat quietly, thinking.

When he finally spoke, his voice rasped a bit, "I guess I'll just have some ramen then. Could you do that for me, please?"

I nodded and went straight to the kitchen, opening his pantry to find a packet of ramen and set it on the counter. I managed to find a pot and started to boil water in it. I would've added some stuff to his ramen but he ran out of groceries... the only thing he had left was literally one green onion. Not a bunch, just, a single green onion.

"He needs to go shopping again... soon." I whispered to myself.

I spotted one last red bag in the very back of the fridge. I grabbed it out and my stomach growled as I took a moment to look at it.

'Should I down this again?

I mean... it's not as good as a Jungkook's, but it does satisfy my hunger... a little.'

I thought for a moment and decided to just put it back inside the fridge. I might as well save it for an emergency or something in case. I did take a few yesterday... though I feel horrible, I think I can hold it out just a little longer.

After doing so, I saw two eggs left in the fridge. I didn't notice it at first but now that I have, it brought a smile to my face. I grabbed it with the green onion and placed it on the counter.

I grabbed another pot to boil the egg in and set it on the stove after filling it with part water, part soy sauce, placing the egg in the middle, gently.

As the other pot came to a nice boil, I opened the package of ramen, set the flavor packets to the side, and placed the noodles inside first to soak and cook. As I waited for the noodles to cook, I glanced over at Jungkook as he was sitting at the dining table.
