Day 9 – Someone you wish you could meet

Dear Great Aunt,

I’ve met you before. But I don’t remember a thing. I was two when you died. Dad tells me a lot about you, but to be honest, I don’t even know what you look like, let alone remember when you used to baby sit me, or come over to our place . I think I’ve seen one photo of you before.

Dad tells me that you were an amazing person. I wish I got a chance to know you for longer.

You died of a heart attack. A week before my brother was born. You were going to come down for when he was born. You never got the chance to.

This letter is extremely short. I don’t really know much about you, or what kind of person you are. But I wish I had got the chance.

I love you… Rest In Peace.
