Day 14

TW- speak of Eating Disorders

"Sloane we need to talk" Sterling scared Sloane, who dropped her test tube causing the contents to splatter onto the floor. Frustrated, Sloane turned around and rolled her eyes.
"Yes agent Sterling" even Sloane was surprised at how sarcastic the words came out. She shook her head and sighed.
"Sorry I'm tired" Sloane said as she bent down to clean up the spill.
"Judd and me were talking, apparently you've been skipping meals?" Sloane froze and Sterling spoke. The first few she didn't mean to skip, she was studying content she had received from Briggs, and trying to build a new set. But after the first few, she couldn't eat without feeling weird, like she was hungry but didn't see the point.
"Eating disorders are common in teens our age" Sloane said looking up at her. Sterlings face filled with concern and she bent down next to Sloane.
"Sloane, your perfect the way you are, I know working in this field is hard. Especially for you since you're a teen. But you can't do this" Sloane shrugged.
"I had Anorexia growing up, I was so desperate to be perfect, my dad pushed that on me and it lead me down a dark hole Sloane, and you can't do that" Sterling grabbed Sloane's hands and squeezed them. It was the first time Sloane had seen her get slightly emotional.
"I'm here Scar-" Veronica shook her head and cleared her throat "Sloane, I'm here Sloane if you ever want to talk," and with that Sterling left, only slightly looking over her shoulder when Sloane took out a granola bar from her desk, bit into it, and continued to work.

Any suggestions? I have a few drafts but would love to hear anyone's input!
