Mackenzie walked up the sidewalk, her fingers played with the fabric of her shirt. She felt alive with adrenaline, a wave of dizzy hit her every so often. She knew her mom would be getting the call that she wasn't at school soon, her dad would get the same call at his work place. She felt bad for doing this, but she had to, she didn't have a choice.
They will have to listen now
She opened the doors and the women at the counter smiled at her, she smiled back and then went up the steps. Usually, people were only allowed up a couple floors but Mackenzie knew exactly how to get through security. She reached the very top, she was able to wiggle the lock loose with a Bobby pin she had taken for this purpose. A few boxes were in the room along with a few miscellaneous items. She was really doing this. She had brought up wooden planks a few days before, she had planned. Mackenzie took three boards and made sure the nails in her pockets had stayed before opening up the window and climbing out. Two feet, that's how far the roof reached out.
Keep going
She nailed the boards over and suddenly the door opened. The women who was at the front stood and stared at her in horror before racing back down the steps. Mackenzie nailed the last board and stood up, her legs didn't shake. She stared at the sky, bright blue met cloudy grey in the nearing horizon.
"Mackenzie!" The shrill scream of her mom was almost enough for her to rip the boards off the window and step back in.
"Oh god," Mackenzie turned slightly enough to see her moms horrified face through the boards. Within minutes, a crisis negotiator and her Psychologist arrived, she instantly felt uneasy with Quentin. He came over with the fireman, he touched the boards. She took. step forward, all movement stopped.

"Mackenzie please, what do you need" Her Psychologist sounded desperate, she had them right where she needed them.

"What I need," Mackenzie looked up at the sky was clear, yet grey clouds formed in the horizon.

"Is The agent who found me six years ago, I need to talk to Agent Briggs."

I always wondered Mackenzies thought process form her point of view so here ya go.
