~~~~~One Week Later~~~~~
Zoey POV
"Get up!" I say as I shake Blake.
"A few more minutes," He groans.
"Nope, we have to go to a meeting for the wedding today and we're gonna be late if you don't get up now."
He bolts right up(almost hitting me) and jumps out of bed.
"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" He asks while rushing to get in the shower.
"I did, but you wouldn't get up so I started getting ready. I'm gonna go get us something to eat while you're getting ready. Be back in a few." I reply, grabbing my bag.
"Take someone with you please or call Maddie. I don't want you going anywhere by yourself."
"I'll be fine, my love. I went out yesterday and was perfectly fine."
"I have a bad feeling about you going alone today. Please, call Maddie or someone else so they can go with you, or you could wait till I'm done so we can go together."
"That would take too long and then we would be late or later than we might already be."
"Then order it and have it delivered here. I'm begging you at this point, don't go out by yourself," Blake tells me as he closes the bathroom door.
"Fine, I'll order it," I decide with a huff.
"Thank you, love you."
"Love you too."
I sit down in a chair with my phone and order the food. A little while later, I hear the doorbell ring and run downstairs to answer it. Almost tripping in my sandals, I reach the door and open it. A bag is put over my head and I panic. I starting kicking and screaming the best I can.
"Let go of her!" I hear Blake shout.
I fall to the ground and take the bag off my head right as Blake shoots and the guy falls, cradling his leg. Blake shoots again but at the guy's other leg before dragging him inside the house. I get up and follow them inside. Luckily, Blake's family is off on a surprise vacation so they didn't see any of that.
"I'll call Joey and Luke to come clean this up and take him to the warehouse. Can you call the wedding planner to let her know we're gonna be a little late," Blake decides as he puts his gun away and pulls out his phone.
I nod and pull out my phone as well. Dialing the number, I take a deep breath and wait a few moments before the wedding planner, Darcy, picks up.
"Hi Darcy, this is Zoey Night. Blake and I are going to be running a bit late," I tell her.
"That's perfectly fine. Could you guys maybe reschedule for later today at four?" She asks.
"Definitely, see you then."
I hang up and look down at the guy. Blake has finished the call and is stopping the bleeding. There isn't a lot of blood so there's less of a mess to clean up.
"Did you shoot him somewhere or enough to kill him from blood loss?" I ask.
"No. I want to bring him to the warehouse to ask him questions like how he found you, how he got in, who sent him, stuff like that," He answers before turning to me and standing up.
He takes an extra rag that he had grabbed and wipes his hands. Blake steps closer to me and puts his hands on my arms before pulling me closer.
"You're safety is the most important thing to me. I've installed security cameras all over the house, especially at entrances and windows, in case of intruders. If the doorbell ever rings, don't answer it for now. No one can get in without hacking in or having the password now, and the only people with passwords know they can always come in without knocking first.
