Blake POV
"What the hell is wrong with you guys?!" I shout as I stare at the fallen boxes of explosives, guns, and other weapons. "One of those could've gone off and hurt or even killed someone!"
One of the guys, only had just joined the gang and was terrified with my blow up, replies, "We didn't mean to knock them over."
"Like hell you didn't, you guys have five minutes to get these cleaned up and the boxes moved into the van before your-"
"Blake chill out!" Lukas yells behind me before pulling me away from the two guys. "Go home man, you need to relax before someone gets hurt."
I let out a huff before walking away. I get into my car and let out a sigh as I rest my head on the steering wheel. It's been two weeks since Zoey went to the house and every day is just harder than the last to be without her. I don't know how I'm going to survive any longer without her and it doesn't help that there's no better a lead than when she first left.
Luk, Joey, and Mads have made it their job to be with me at all times so I don't murder someone. I drive home and get into bed without really caring to change before falling asleep.
"Get your butt up Blake!" Mads yells in my ear the next day.
"Go away," I groan and hold the pillow around my head so I don't hear her.
She rips the pillow off my head and drags me out of bed the best she can.
"What is so important that I can't waste today in bed?" I ask her with an irritated voice.
"You have to get up and run a gang. I'm sorry that Zoey isn't here right now but you have to stop moping around. It's safer for her to not be around a place he knows and could get into at any time. Now, get your ass up and get ready for the day," She demands before walking out of the room.
I reluctantly crawl out of bed and get changed into jeans, a t-shirt, and a leather jacket. I head straight to the warehouse after that and go straight to the team that I've set up to look for any trace of Darren. That's where I spent most of my day unless necessary for me to do something else.
"Have you gotten any more leads on where he might be?" I ask as I walk into the room.
"Nothing more than the conclusion that he's headed North," One of them answers while bringing up the predicted path of where Darren will go.
"Isn't that towards the safehouse sir?"
I look closely and realize, "Yes it is. I need you to send a team right now to go to the safehouse. I will be following right after them."
I make a few calls to Joey and Lukas so they know I'm leaving and get in with the last one team leaving quickly. I get suited up in the van and wait until we arrive. My nerves keep rising the longer it takes to get there. I knew it would take a while which is why I called a friend and ally of mine that has a gang only 10 minutes from the safe house.
My phone buzzes in my pocket halfway there. The text notification lights up my screen and I'm nervous to read it; it could be from Maddie, Layla, or Wilder, my ally.
