Blake POV

Weston has stopped his training now to go live with Paisley and the twins and Lukas has taken it upon himself to live there as well. I had planned on having Maddie or me do it so there's always have someone I strongly trust and is also experienced, but he had volunteered and I'm not going to turn him down.

I have Mads training everyone overtime while my most experienced members and Joey are taking care of shipments and other business. Since they're handling all of that, I'm focusing on someone new who might give us more of a lead to Darren: Lucy White. She isn't very likely to cover up her tracks as well as he does with his own.

Lucy also might feel bad for Zoey. She seemed to know nothing about the letter other than that she had to give it to us the first time and when I discovered she had left, it seemed like she was given notice of this so she's either really good at acting or is being kept in the dark about it all. I'm kinda hoping it's the latter.

"Is there anything new that might help?" I ask my tech people.

"No, but we have put together places she was within six months before she moved and dropped off the grid completely," One of them says while pulling up a list on his computer and handing me a paper one.

"Increase that to the past year and I need you to forward this list to Joseph so he can put together a team to search them. Send me an email once you have the other half of the list and notify me if you have any more recent or current leads on where she might be. It could be what leads us to Darren."

They working on that right away and I take a deep breath. One of these places has to have some sort of clue that'll get me back Zoey. I go through emails and other documents until I get an email with the second half of the list. It's nothing too out of the ordinary: the store, the gas station, and a retirement home that her parents now live at according to my tech guys.

Only two things really pop out to me: a random house in the middle of nowhere and a pregnancy clinic that she went to closer to 6 months ago. I check the other list and she makes frequent trips there as the months go on. I need to get ahold of the clinic's records to see why. It's very likely that Lucy is pregnant and is carrying Darren's child.

That's why he must've taken her with. Otherwise, he might not have been so worried about it. He could be planning something in case his plan right now fails. I make a quick trip to the tech room and ask that he get the clinic's records for Lucy White as soon as possible. Joey asked for the same thing so he already has them.

I read through it and Lucy is 6 months pregnant right about now, meaning she has to be carrying Darren's child. The records also say the baby is a healthy boy. If I can't find the kid and Lucy or Darren raises him to hate me as well, my future family could be in danger.

~~~~~One Week Later~~~~~~
For the last week, I've gotten little to no sleep. My worry about Zoey's safety is worse than the first time. Darren hasn't sent me on a hunt with clues so I have no leads except for my own to find him, he hasn't given me a deadline or about on her health. For all I know, she could already be dead and I'm just leading myself into a trap.
"Blake, there's someone here to see you," Joseph announces as he walks into my office.
"Tell them that I'm busy," I tell him as I go through email after email.
"I don't like waiting, Blake. You should know that," A voice says.
I look up to see Wilder waiting by the door. I get up from my seat right as Mads calls for some help. Joey leaves and shuts the door behind him, leaving Wilder and me alone to talk.
"I think I might have something that could help you, other than my services to finally take him down," Wilder says while handing me a file.
Inside are multiple surveillance pictures with the same man in each picture. Closeup pictures of him show that he's most likely Darren, some pictures even have Lucy in it.
"Are these sightings of Darren and Lucy?" I ask him while still flipping through the pictures.
"If that's the woman's name, then yes. My men have been monitoring every surveillance twenty-four-seven in the areas you can't. I've left a list of each location they've been in order of most frequent to least frequent as well as another one with the same locations but going from last visited to most recently visited," He explains while pointing to each different thing.
I just barely hear him clearly as I read every little detail. This will help so much in my investigation. I can't resist hugging him; that's how grateful I am. Neither one of us are much of a hugger but this is a special occasion. I'm just one step closer now to finding my amazing Zoey.
