After a few hours of my unplanned nap, I woke up. Embry was passed out underneath me, his arm wrapped around my side. Slowly and carefully I managed to wiggle out of his embrace taking little time to stand up and stretch out tense muscles.
Everything was quiet except for the light clutter of dishes in the kitchen. With groggy steps my feet took me into the main room of the house where Emily was happily moving about to make supper for everyone. She was a natural in the kitchen, moving about with ease as if it were her happy place. It was exhilarating to watch, none the less.
"I see that you're like the pack mom," I say making my presence and observation known. She stops the task she was doing and looks up at me, a smile already on her face as if it was permanently sculpted there.
"Yeah I guess I am, although I don't mind it at all. But they do eat alot, sometimes I wonder where they put it all," she explains with a laugh and I find myself smiling along with her.
"Would you like some help?" I asked wanting something to do and to take some of the work load off her hands. She was one person after all and who knows how many more Quileutes were going to shift, especially if the Cullen's decide to move back.
"I don't mind doing the work, but if you really want to help then you can make spaghetti sauce if you'd like. I've got everything layed out on the counter," she says pointing to the counter behind her.
"It's no trouble at all, I'd be happy to help," I state before washing my hands and then walking to the station she had set up where I began making the sauce.
Over the next few hours the two of us moved in sync around the kitchen. As I made enough sauce to feed a small army, Emily began boiling to noodles and making mountain of homemade garlic bread. While she did that, I let the sauce simmer before grating some parmesan cheese, in case someone other than myself wanted any.
Then when Emily and I were done our major tasks, we decided to make a blueberry cheesecake for dessert. "You're welcome to stay for dinner, since you're probably going to spend loads of time here and since you helped make it," Emily says taking plates out while I placed the pot of sauce and noodles on the table along with the garlic bread.
"That's very kind of you, I'd love to stay," I informed her before dishing out slices of cheesecake onto smaller plates and setting them along the counter.
"It's nice to see that you're fitting in just fine," a voice says from the livingroom door, and there stood Embry.
"I'm over 4 thousand years old, I don't really fit in anywhere. I simply coexist with everything around me. Also how are you feeling?" I state looking over at him too see if he was alright. I noticed that he didn't wince that much but there was still a small grimace on his face.
"I'm fine, just a tad sore but I should be fine and dandy by tomorrow," he says sitting down at the table and putting food onto his plate. Emily and I followed suit because she said that if we didn't get any now then there was a likelihood that we wouldn't get any.
Not long after the rest of the guys came in and loaded up their plates. There was a chatter about the table as the pack discussed new patrol routes and other shifter related things. But I also had managed to get to know the guys and Emily better whilst they got to know me better.
All in all it was a pretty memorable night and I managed to fall asleep that night with a smile on my face and the promise of new friends.

The next morning I woke up to the loud ding of my doorbell which jolted me awake. I haphazardly threw on some clean clothes, tossed my hair in a bun atop my head and sauntered down the stairs and over to the door where an eager Bella stood.
"Come on I'm going to confront Jake and you're coming with me," she hurriedly says and, before I even have to to inform her that it might not be the best idea to bother Jake, she grabbed my arm pulling me along with her as I barely had time to shut the door.
I was in the passenger side of her beat up truck before I even had time to register what time it was. You'd think that by now I'd be use to Bella's rash behavior and her need for having to know everything and not being able to let the simplest of things go. But alas here I sat in complete shell shock as she pulled up to Jake house.
She got out of the truck and bolted for the door whilst I checked the time. It was 7:30 in the morning for lords sake. I decided to stay in the truck as I watched Jake's father open the door and hearing everything word they exchanged. Bella found it hard to believe when Billy told her that Jake wasn't home, and with a hasty apology, she twisted around his wheelchair and rushed passed him into the house.
I was practically beating my head off the dash board at her completely unacceptable behavior. Suddenly she raced out of the house and towards the woods. Following her retreating figure I noticed that she was running towards the pack. This wasn't going to end well. Bella can be so daft at times that it was unbelievable.
Not wasting any more time, I bolted out of the truck after the most stubborn person I've ever met. I hoped that she didn't do anything stupid but my hope was shattered because just as I reached her, she slapped Paul in the face....
