||Chapter 13: Countdown||

(No one's P.O.V)

A few weeks passed and it was almost close to the day of the spring dance...the dance was in a week. Girls went shopping for dresses and heels, while guys went out to buy some new dress shirts and slacks. As for (y/n), she didn't bother. It's not that she didn't want to go, it was she wouldn't be able to. Her dad is overprotective of her and thinks something wrong would happen to his daughter at the dance.

Her mom on the other hand, really wanted her to go. She wanted (y/n) to have fun durring her high school years, as adult life wouldn't be as fun when she's graduates. She tries to persuade (y/n)'s dad to let her go to the dance, but he doesn't listen.

Stuart was destined to get (y/n) to go the dance, as friends...or maybe more then that. He wanted to spend as much time with (y/n) before they graduate and go their separate ways.

At school, Stu and (y/n) were siting in their homeroom, listening to the morning announcement blaring through the intercoms.

"HEY Y'ALL!" A femenine voice screeched on the intercoms. Everyone cover thier ears.

"Oops, sorry y'all. heheheh..." The voice apologized. The voice cleared her throat and began to speak again.

"Good morning everyone! It's Tammy, here to tell you the mornin' announcements! The dance is creepin' up on us, it's only....huh...a week away!"

Tons lot of students cheered, cheering could be heard from other classrooms in the hallway.

"Tickets are 5 pounds each, they will be on sell durring all lunches this week and next week, until the day of the dance. Anyways, today's lunch will be...."

Stuart was thinking about the dance. He would buy a ticket for him and (y/n)

'So that would be...10 pounds?'

No Stu, it would be 15.

'Who said that?'

No one.

'Oh okay...How am I gonna get 10 pounds in a week? I could ask mom, but I don't think she'd give me it, I don't have a job...wait a minute...I could just work with my dad this weekend and try to earn some! I'm so smart!' He looked up and smiled.

"Uh, Stu?"

"..."

"Stu."

"..."

"Stuart." (Y/n) snapped her fingers in front of him.

He shook his head.

"Huh? What?"

"You zoned out again, and were smiling at me in a very creepy way, for a long time."

He blushes a little and scratch the back of his neck. "H-heh, I'm sorry about that, love. Didn't mean to."

"...Art club is cancelled today due to the art teacher bein' sick...are y'all sure he's sick? I'm pretty sure he's probably on vacation or somethin'." Tammy's voice blared.

"The announcements are still going on?" Stuart asked. (y/n) just nodded.

"Anyways, that's it for the morning announcements! Y'all have a blessed friday and don't forget, the dance is in seven days!" And the announcements were done.
