Chapter 17

(If anyone is asking about the relationship between Jade and Poe... Poe is like the protective older brother that Jade never had.)

Jade followed Poe down the stairs and into the living room. She was greeted by the King and a Jedi. She knew he was a Jedi because of the lightsaber attached to his belt. Jade bowed her head to them both and walked into the room. She placed the box on a nearby table and walked towards a tall man in black, which she presumed was Ben. He turned around to face her. Ben was holding the diamond shoe in his hands. Jade stopped a few feet in front of him.

"Who are you" Ben asked. "I am Jade Kenobi" Jade answered. "Your Obi-Wan Kenobi's daughter? I didn't know he had children" Ben told her. "I'm his only child. I have proof if you don't believe me" Jade said grabbing the box and taking out the envelope. Ben took the envelope; but he was hesitant to open and read what was inside. "I can't read this. Poe, can you read it" Ben asked his friend. "Sure" he said. Poe took the envelope, opened it, and read the birth certificate. "It says her full name is Jade Madison Kenobi. Her birthday is April 5th, which was yesterday. Happy belated Birthday. Born on the planet of Coruscant and her parents are Satine Kryze and Obi-Wan Kenobi" Poe read. Ben was speechless.

"It's true Ben, Obi-Wan had a daughter" Han said. "Why didn't you tell me, dad" Ben asked his father. "Well what happen was, Obi-Wan and Satine were originally supposed to rule Coruscant; but when Jade was born, they decided to not take the throne because they wanted to keep her safe from any danger. At the time, Darth Sidious or as you know him as Emperor Palpatine was jealous that Obi-Wan was going to take the throne, so he tried to kill him multiple times. When Palpatine found out Jade was born, he knew that she would be just as if not more powerful than any other Jedi. Jade's life was at risk, so Obi-Wan decided to give up the throne and move to Naboo" Luke said.

"So you mean tell me that Jade was supposed to be the Princess of Coruscant" Ben asked. "Yes and if she was, you would've been betrothed to marry her" his father said. Ben had sit down because he had to process what he just heard. "Ben? Are you okay" Jade asked as she sat in a chair opposite from him. "Yeah it was just a lot of information to take in" Ben said. "I understand. It's my first time hearing this too" Jade said. "You never knew about this" Ben asked. "No. Anyways, am I supposed to try on a shoe" Jade asked. "Your right. I almost forgot" Ben said. Jade took off one of her shoes. Ben took the diamond shoe in slipped it on her foot. "The shoe fits" Ben said. He smiled and she smiled back at him. They both stood up. Ben was about to kiss her until they were interrupted by someone.

Hux came from out of nowhere. She aimed her gun at Ben and pulled the trigger. Jade sensed the blast coming, so she used the force to grab her lightsaber and deflected the shot. The gunshot deflected back at Hux and shot her in the leg, causing her to scream out in pain. Jade looked at her lightsaber proudly, however she noticed that the dirt from the weapon was coming off. She continued to scrape the dirt off until she saw something engraved on it. It said, "Property of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Soon to be Jade Kenobi." Jade started to cry after realizing that her father was going to pass down his lightsaber to her. Ben smiled as he saw this and hugged her. This was a happy moment for Jade.

Jade then noticed that Hux was still laying on the floor in pain. She knelt down in front of her and said, "I told you to not underestimate me." Jade stood back up and grabbed her box of items. She took a hold of Ben's hand and they walked out of the house. Han, Luke, and Poe followed after them and headed back to the palace to have a wedding. As a result, Hux and her stepdaughters were banished to the Outer Rim and were never to step foot in Naboo ever again.
