Chapter 6

3 years later...

Years have passed and Jade still lives with her stepmother and sisters. She is 18 years old and is a fully trained Jedi. She continues to train and work hard to become better, something greater. Jade's life was going well until Lady Hux dismissed Maz Kanata from the household when Jade was 16 years old. Maz went back to her secretary job at the palace. Jade was now all alone in a house with her wicked stepfamily. From there, Jade was treated as a poor housemaid and she was miserable; but managed to maintain a strong persona.

Jade woke up to the sound of bells and realized that she overslept. She got up, got dressed, and quickly ran down to the kitchen to make breakfast. She was rushing to get it done and serve it to her stepfamily. When she finished making breakfast, she put them on three separate trays and took them upstairs, balancing them with her hands and arms. Jade walked up to Gwendoline and Christie's room and used the force to open the door. She served the girls breakfast as they both gave Jade disgusting looks and yelled "It's about time". Jade sighed and walked out the room. She then walked to her stepmother's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in" her stepmother said. Jade opened the door and walked in. "Breakfast is served" Jade said. Hux then said "Shut the door behind you." Jade shut the door and walked up to her stepmother's bedside and gave her the meal. Hux's droid, BB-9E woke up and rolled over to her beeping at her. "Do you mind giving BB-9E more fuel? He is running low on it." Jade replied with, "Of course, stepmother." Before leaving with BB-9E, Lady Hux gave her a list of chores that she had to complete. She opened the list and it was just as big as her and she was only 5'4'. "I need these tasks done by today" said Hux. "Yes ma'am" Jade responded and walked out of the room with BB-9E.

Jade walked with BB-9E outside and got the fuel tank. You would think that this was an easy job; but it wasn't especially when BB-9E wouldn't cooperate. He loved to joke around with Jade and make her mad. "Would you just sit still for two minutes?" Jade said, starting to get frustrated. However the astromech droid kept rolling around to the point around Jade was chasing him around the whole yard. Then Jade tripped over the wire connecting to the fuel tank and got mad. She was not having it today, she had a lot to do with so little time and she didn't have the time to chase a stupid droid. Jade used the forced and froze BB-9E in his place. She walked over to it with the tank and refilled BB-9E with fuel. "I told you that I would get you" Jade smirked. BB-9E beeped in surprise. "That's right, I have the damn force and there's nothing you can do about it. Now get back in the house before stepmother yells at you" Jade said. The droid beeped with disappointment and rolled back in the house.

Jade started with the chores right away. She worked very hard to cook and clean everything that was asked. She worked quickly and diligently. After six long hours, it was 2pm and she finally got everything done and now has plenty of time to herself before she has to cook dinner Jade decided that she wanted to work on her lightsaber training. Plus, she needed to get out of the house because her stepfamily was driving her crazy. So Jade ran upstairs to her room and changed into something more comfortable. She packed her lightsaber, a dagger, an energy bow, an NN-14 blaster, and several training droids. She took her bag and staff and slung it over her shoulder. She walked downstairs to the front door; but got stopped by her stepmother.

"Where do you think your going" Jade's stepmother asked with a mean expression on her face. "I'm going to the marketplace to pick up a few items for dinner tonight, do you guys need anything" Jade said. Hux looked at her daughters and they shook their heads and said, "I think we'll be okay; but what's with the staff" her stepmother became suspicious. "Just for protection. You never know what's out there" Jade said. "I guess your right, alright go ahead; but be back soon" Hux warned. Jade nodded and walked out the door. Jade let out a sigh of relief and made her way to the forest.
