Everyone wore nice attire except me.

This was a first.

Ever since I moved here I started changing little by little, the smallest little things gradually began shifting drastically until a realization came to be. And before I knew it, I was so far off from my old lifestyle that anyone from it wouldn't recognize me. I wore less makeup and even sported the same article of clothing twice. Not to mention that my social media presence has been withering as well as my popularity.

My only aspiration in life at the moment was to simply stay alive.

This wedding was a crucial part of doing so.

Jungkook sits there and eats his meals comfortably as if our family wasn't currently struggling, for whatever reason they wouldn't tell. But I'd never peg him for a person who'd be on their knees begging, especially not someone like Jungkook. So of course it had to be me to convince Seonghwa to push up the date.

Instead of being upfront with him, I decided that I'd rather risk it all by lying— I had a better chance of it than risk Seonghwa finding out about my family's current financial standing. But he'd never suspect my lies if I use my irresistible seduction on him.

Tonight.

I'll get it done tonight.

That way Jungkook can be well on his way back to Korea by tomorrow afternoon.

"So," I decide to be the first to initiate a conversation. I was the mediator after all. "How was your flight?"

Jungkook looks less than impressed with my question. I think today was the most I've said to him to all year. He finishes off the rest of his wine before replying. "Miserable. It was long and boring."

"It's sad to see you leave so soon, I wish you could stay longer," I lie.

I think we all knew I was lying.

"Actually," Jungkook reclines comfortably in his seat. "I was thinking of expanding our enterprise in America. I'll be in town for a few weeks and see how everything goes from there."

With what money?

Are we or are we not having a financial crisis? What exactly was Jungkook planning?

The sound of the front door springs open, slamming against the wall. The housekeepers were yelling and shouting for some reason, causing an obnoxious ruckus. Whatever it was, I wasn't having. Not today, and especially not after the week I've been put through. My first instinct was to grab my fork and knife to lunge into the throat of whoever intruded. I look toward Seonghwa who sat comfortably in his seat, unnerved by whomever decided to crash our dinner.

It was a female.

I hear her heels clicking against marble.

She appears.

The obviously, very pregnant female.

"Seonghwa," she turns toward him. "I'm pregnant."

Jungkook's brow raises just as fast as my jaw drops. I rise to my feet, my silverware falling to the floor. The twins do too but only Wooyoung was close enough to offer me his comforting hand at my elbow— whether to stop me from doing something irrational or to comfort me, I wasn't so sure either.

My fiancé purses his lips and casually tosses his napkin aside. This definitely caught him blindsided.

She was older than me, around his age probably. My best guess was that she was one of the suitable wives he got with— so much for only ever being with Nina. The female proceeds to dash toward Seonghwa and coddle his arm, tugging for him to stand. And when he does, she wraps her arms around his waist, planting her face against his chest.
