Gaze

Saw you once again, walking through the crowd

Sunshine on your face with somebody new

though i stand upset, my heart burns out loud

all colours were forgotten, but the blue.

Warm light on your face, was taken away

all memories were brought back by one glance

i prayed for you but it caused disarray

beating heart, silenced by interlocked hands

As our eyes met, a gaze, and we froze

recognition in a second of time

then came sorrow, a slow-mo as wind blows

that you are for her, and you are not mine.

Painfully craving for your gentle touch

Then i realized, this is all too much.
