I used to be numb.
No one could touch me,
I was too far gone for that.
I used to be numb,
Until I met him.
He taught me that I should live.
And while he never meant to,
He taught me that people will always hurt you,
Even when you love them more than they can ever know.
I either felt loss, or nothing at all.
And that was how we lived.
I used to be numb,
Until he left.
Now when I can fell, I can feel everything.
Not just the pain he inflicted,
But the sun's warmth on my face,
Freedom in my soul,
And blood in my veins.
But most importantly,
Love in my heart that he will never have.
