"But he'll know who took his journal." Alexander sighed, closing the book and throwing it onto the table in front of the two. He left his seat, beginning to pace around in the open space that led to the kitchen.
"Alexander, we don't have to tell him." John got up after him, stopping him in his tracks as he blocked. He seemed to be hyperventilating.
"Why're you so freaked out about this?" John asked with a simple chuckle, looking Alexander in the eye.
"Because!" Alexander's head almost rammed into John's. John took a step back with surprise. "I'm not exactly trusted much at the moment! I'm new to the group!" His hand ran through his hair, indicating he was stressed.
"You've dealt with this before, right?"
"No! I've never stolen a book." Alexander turned around sharply, staring outside.

Knock, Knock.

Alexander froze, knowing it would probably be Thomas as far as movies go. John gritted his teeth, picking up the notebook quickly.
"Do you have a secret attic or something?" John whisper-yelled, as he heard the knocking start back up again. Alexander whipped back around, pointing towards the hallway.
"My closet, just hide in there!"

"Hey Thomas!" Alexander pushed the guilt out of his voice. He saw an angry Jefferson stand in the outside hallway, his hands clenched into fists.
"Are you okay?" Alexander questioned, trying to act as oblivious as possible.
"Someone, stole, my, JOURNAL." his breathing rose, as he got angrier and angrier.
"Wait? What?" Alexander beckoned Jefferson to sit on the couch, closing the door as soon as he stepped inside. "Who do you think it would be?" he asked, watching Thomas sink into the couch.
"I have cameras, I just need to figure out how to work them." he answered, his voice a bit calm. Alexander jumped by the fear that blew his insides.
"Uh! No need!"
Thomas's eyes widened slightly, them soon meeting Alexander's. His brows raised as he awaited the news.
"Uh, I-"
"You?" his hand rose in the air, them swirling in circles telling him to answer his question before anger reached. Alexander scrunched his face, his shoulders turning around so Jefferson didn't have an advantage. He thought, and thought.
He then heard a bundle of laughter behind him. He turned, seeing Jefferson rock back and forth on the couch, his hands clapping together.
"I know who did it." he smirked, stopping, leaning off the couch.
"You do?" Alexander began to hold his breath, feeling fear punch at his gut. Thomas stood up from his position.
"Yep. A hoho-ho!" his arms folded, his gray shirt revealing his bulging muscles. "It's that rat. Reynolds."

"Maria! Maria!" Peggy hurried through the crowd of juniors, tripping over her beautiful white dress. Her hair bobbled. It was tightly held back, the rest of her hair flowing over her shoulders. She saw the beautiful young woman walk through the halls, wearing a revealing top and some ripped jeans.
Peggy sped up, bumping into somebody whom she quickly said sorry to. She reached Maria, poking her back. Reynolds turned around, her hand around her ear like she was a model.
"Maria!" Peggy shrieked happily out of breath. Maria's top had no straps, it lay on her chest to her back. It was red, as it was one of her favorite colors. Her jeans, a simple light blue. She giggled, patting Peggy's back as she leaned over from her breathing.
"Woah, woah, woah. What's so important you have to run through the halls Goodie Two Shoes?" she laughed softly at her own little joke.
"It's, I-Important." Peggy managed to say, gulping. Maria's joyful expression fell, her face a great worry. People passed them, eyeing them as they walked by.
"What's going on? Are you okay?"
"Yes, yes. All is well." Peggy reassured her, her posture returning back. "Well, except for Jefferson."
Maria scoffed at the name, her hand running through her hair in stress.
"What's he doing now?"
"He thinks you stole his journal.." Peggy reached for Maria's hand, halting herself as she realized their fingertips touched.
"Ahem." Peggy coughed on purpose. Her frown turning into a never ending smile. "I uh, wanted to know if you would like to hang out with my friends and I? We could keep you safe."
Maria sweetly grinned at her, her eyes sparkling with gratefulness.
"I would love to hang out with you all, but I don't want to get you all in trouble." she kindly disagreed.
Peggy shook her head. "We have a lot to tell you."

(Sorry that these chapters have been smaller than usual. Just school gets in the way, and friends. But I'll clean it up soon. Just stay patient! <3)
