The wind only blew slightly to rustle the tiniest blade of grass. The sun shone down upon the people in lawn chairs, and outdoor bleachers. John, Alexander, Maria, Eliza, Angelica, Lafayette, and Hercules sat on the first row of bleachers. Peggy's hair bobbled from the way it was shaped. Her brown beautiful slick hair was pulled into a ponytail, curls at the end. She stood near the soccer net, crouching in guard of the goalie. Her eyes focused on what was ahead of her. She wore a white t-shirt, with the name; 'Tigerson' on it. The other team was a dark blue with the name; 'The Hooks.'
The soccer ball rolled close to her feet, her body leaning forward to kick it out of risk. It worked. The ball ran under women's feet, crossing through legs. Her teammate caught a glimpse of it, and stole it from out of the open, carrying towards the other team's net.
"She's doing great! Right?" Maria was beaming from cheek to cheek, always making a small comment about Peggy. John sighed. Alexander turned his head to see him. His right hand held his phone, it was a little dark, but Alexander could tell he was texting someone.
"Who's that?" Alexander questioned with a flirtatious sound added to his voice. It made John chuckle, his thumb hitting the single button the side, turning the phone screen off.
"No one important." he sighed once more, making Alexander question what he had said.
"Y'know, a person is never okay if they sigh sadly like you just did." he nudged him. "What's going on?"
John closed his eyes, then blinked them open like he was a bit angered. "I'm not sad.. just,"
He adjusted his shirt, stalling. "Just, I'm. Mad."
"Mad? Why?"
"Because, I've been talking to this girl. No one important. 'Cause she ditched me at last year's prom." John's phone buzzed, a new message appearing.
"I thought you were gay?" Alexander looked up confusingly.
"I am, now. She texted me, saying; 'Can we meet up?'" John growled. "I don't want to see her."

Alexander nodded with understanding. John pulled his phone up to his face, giving his friend an advantage. Alexander picked his hand up from his lap, his fingers quickly grappling onto the phone. He snatched it from John's hands, whom unexpectedly gasped.
Before John could do anything, Alexander blocked the caller Id, smiling to himself as he slowly handed it back.
"What'd you do?" John asked, taking it without hesitation.
"I just made your life so much easier." Alexander pretended to wipe his right shoulder free from dust, which made John laugh. Suddenly, cheers flooded the air, making them jolt their eyes on the field. The score board changed to; 'Tigerson, 1-2' and, 'Hooks 1!'
They joined in on the cheers, laughing as they both knew they weren't paying attention.

The game ended by Tigerson being the winners. Everyone made their way to their cars, voices rising the air as they congratulated or comforted their young.
Peggy came jogging over, smiling so big. Alexander hugged her, saying congrats. Everyone followed. They stood on the field, soon alone. Maria pecked Peggy on the cheek, her sweat literally evaporating as her cheeks flustered.
"Get a room." Lafayette swung his arm like he was shooing away bugs. Hercules hit his arm. They all wore casual clothing.
"What's the problem? Is it because your gay and don't support lesbians?" Maria defensed, though she smiled like she joked. John choked, his fist hitting his chest. Alexander patted him on the back, adding a little laugh.
The day was ending quicker than expected.
"Let's go to Alexander's place." Maria took back the attention in a flash. Everyone nodded agreement. Alexander just shrugged in answer.
"Ooh! We should watch Ice Age!" Lafayette skipped, Hercules laughing at him.
"What?" Peggy eyed him, following the group as they began to walk. "Love Simon! That movie makes me smile." once she spoke, everyone smiled in answers. Even Lafayette. Alexander was okay with this, he didn't exactly know about his sexuality, though he loved the movie.
He took his keys out of his jacket pocket, placing it inside the turn lock. He twisted it a few times before hearing a click, opening the door and letting everyone in. When they got to his apartment, it was already dark. The sky a dark blue and black, white speckles spread around. The moon glowed in the middle of all the sparkling lights.
They all crammed on the couch, grabbing the blankets that were folded onto the side. Alexander was next to John, and Eliza. For some reason, John had decided to sit with him on every occasion. He didn't think too much of it though.

Alexander reached over for the remote that lay upon the coffee table. Maria's arm was round Peggy's shoulders. Them next to Hercules and Lafayette, whom, Laf had his head on Hercules's shoulder. Angelica sat next to Maria and Eliza.
Alexander clicked on Love, Simon in a few moments. In the middle of the movie Alexander's head wandered off to old memories of the past, his eyes beginning to water. He forced himself not to let it flow. Especially not in front of his friends.
Alexander sighed, suddenly standing up from his seat. "I'll be right back.." he started for the bathroom, quickening for every step he stepped. He slammed the door, locking it quickly. He flicked the switch on for light, his feet taking him towards the bathtub. Alexander sat down on the edge, his head falling, his arms balancing on his thighs. His fingers lightly scratched his neck.
He felt a liquid escape from the corner of his eyes. Alexander wiped the tear away slowly, urging himself not to cry. He heard concerned voices outside on the couch.
"Is he okay John?"
"I don't know, he just suddenly got up. I didn't notice anything."
"One of us should go check on him."
"I will.."
"No, it's okay. Continue to watch the movie, I'll go see what's up." a scraping sound fluttered, the type of skin scraping fabric or objects. Footsteps were faintly heard, before they grew louder. The shadow of feet appeared beneath the bathroom door. Silence. Slowly, a gentle knock filled his ears.
"Alexander? Open the door." John. It was John. John tried to use the handle to get in, but it failed, as it was locked. Alexander thought about his answer. He hesitantly got up from his seat, taking the lock and clicking it open. John opened the door, his face clouded with worry. He stepped inside, closing the door behind him.
"You're crying." he pointed out, his eyes falling. Alexander attempted to wipe the tears away, but John stopped him with words.
"Alexander, it's okay to be sad." John grinned sadly, his arms pulling Alexander in a hug. He didn't hesitate to hug back.
"Do you want to talk about it?" John questioned, pulling away with his hands on the inside of his friend's elbows. Alexander simply shook his head.
"I just- Can we sit here for a while?" he felt a little nervous asking this question, which wasn't normal.

John nodded happily, clearly trying to change the mood.
