Diary Entry...

Hello everyone. My name is Ava Rawlins and I'm a cancer patient. I'm 19 years old, but I'm gonna be 20 years old in a month from now, which is on October 5th– to be exact.

But sometimes I feel like I won't be around that long, which my mom would always tell me not to think that way, but..it's hard not to...

Because everytime I look in the mirror, I see a girl who's slowly losing her life. I was scared, like anyone would be, knowing that they'll die any minute now.

I just wished my grandpapi was here, he'll know what to say.. But I know he's in a better place right now, up there with my Nana.

I miss you grandpapi..You were always smiling...

Anyways, enough of the darker things in life, let's move on to the brighter side.

Where should I start...

She starts drawing a building, that'll symbolize as a hospital.

Every since I met Rivera Douglas.

Oh and if you're wondering who that is..

She's my doctor and the best one at that. She would always seem to take my mind off things, not only me, but her other patients as well.

Every since I met her, she would always make me feel some type of way and I'm not sure if it's love or something else.

Just know..I never actually felt this way over anyone– and yes I've been single all my life, with no experience at all.

Before I got diagnosed with cancer, life was sort of good.

It wasn't always rainbows and sunshines, because they'll always be a time that I'll hit a bump on the road.

But I was just starting to get my life together, with me in college– a major in fine arts– because I love to draw/paint.

And Rivera Douglas gave me hope, even if a little part tells me that it's only a dream and one day I'll wake up in a coffin and stay there for good.

Which Rivera is one of the people that I wished I met sooner– despite me being 10 years younger than her, but I feel like she was one of the missing pieces that I need in my life.

She draws a puzzle being put together with their initials on each one.
