Chapter Thirty One - Picking out our wedding dresses.

Today me and Rivera is going to pick out our dresses for our wedding and also like an after party dress. I wanted to pay for my own dress, but Rivera strictly told me that she got it all covered.

Our trip to Paris wasn't until a week from now. So, we had time to prepare. We had allot of things to do and our vacation in Paris would be a stress free vacation until we start to prepare things for our wedding and the exact date we'll be able to get married.

We were in seperate rooms, my mom accompanied me, cause I needed her opinion and help on picking out my wedding dress and I kind of wanted Joanna's help as well, but obviously he couldn't be here.

Rivera was in another room with her mom and sister Cherri. I honestly couldn't wait to see how Rivera looked in her wedding dress.

But sadly, I have to wait until the wedding, cause everyone knows it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding and in this case– the brides.

“How about this one mom?” I asked, as I came out of the back room, wearing a white floral strapless dress, it hugged all my curves in all the right places. I wasn't as curvy as my mother, but I still had kind of a body.

“It's beautiful along with the other dresses you've worn, but what do you think?”.

I looked down at the dress, thinking.

Yes, the dress was nice, but I don't know..it just felt like it wasn't the right one. Sure, I'm bad at fashion, but every bride knows 'the dress' they wanna wear to their big day.

“I don't think it's the one” I told my mother. It was nice, but it didn't quite feel like the dress that I wanna be walking down the aisle with.

“Well there's plenty to choose from. So take your time baby. I'm sure you'll find the right dress for you” My mother said with a smile on her face. I knew she was happy for me and I was obviously happy as well. I never thought that I'll actually ever get married, to be honest.

“Right this way Ava. We can go through as many dress as needed” Zelia, our assistant that's works at this place, said with a smile on her face.

“Thanks Zelia”.

“That dress makes your ass look fat” Cherri said, once I got out of the back room.

“And what? That's a bad thing?” I said looking at myself in the mirror.

“It's a bad thing, cause all the guys are gonna be checking out your bum” I felt my mother slap my ass hard.

“Mother!” I swear these two...

“You guys sure never changed” Sarah chuckled amused. She was a family friend and the one that helped me pick out my dress when I was about to marry Charles.

It still feels a bit surreal to me in a way, that I'm actually gonna remarry again. I wasn't sure if I was ever gonna be married again right after Charles, but I'm happy though. I may have been married before, but this time it feels different.

“Well, my daughter has” I heard my mother say, which confused me a little.

“What do you mean I've changed?” I'm pretty sure I was still the plain old me.
