Chapter Thirty Four - Wedding preparations.

Our Paris vacation was fun, just hanging out with Joanna and also Meri– well..we only hanged out with Meri for a little bit, and yes I know I wasn't to fond of knowing that her and Rivera had history together;I mean she wasn't Rivera's ex, but to know that they did "stuffs" together when they were younger.

But anyways...

We went to see all the popular sites and took many pictures. Also, even if Meri didn't have to. She bought all my unsold paintings, which my boss was so surprised about and she even gave me a raise, since I'm making so much money for her museum, even if I didn't really need a raise, cause whenever one of my painting sell, half of it goes to me, but I wasn't complaining, cause more money for me.

Me and Rivera were currently getting things prepared for our wedding, which were the cake, the color schemes that we'll be choosing, but the rest of the decorations for our wedding we gave that part for our mother's to do, since they wanted to do that part and who knew that they both would get along so well– and the only reason I'm surprised by that, cause my mother well..she's not much of a social person. She usually keeps to herself and is quiet– so it was kind of surprising to know and see how she is with Rivera's mom, which is good though.

We were currently at one of the bakerys for some taste testing for our wedding, we had to select from four cakes recommended by the owner of the place, but one of it is the one that I ordered, which I was most looking forward on.

“The first cake that you guys are gonna try is a strawberry surprise” Xenia, the daughter of the owner of the place, who is technically the owner as well said, as she presented the cake in front of us.

“What's the surprise–” Rivera paused covering her mouth “Now I know” She said quite pleased on what she got, and as for me. I really didn't like strawberry on strawberry– and yes, I can be pretty picky, at times.

When we were finished trying all the cakes and as expected, obviously I'll prefer the one that I ordered than the rest, only because it was just simple and the others were just putting to "much" in a wedding cake.

“So have you guys decided on your wedding cake?” Xenia asked, as she was holding a clipboard.

“I prefer the simple Vanilla cake that I ordered” I told Xenia, seeing her write it down.

“How 'bout you babe?” I turned over to Rivera, who was currently eating another plate of the coffee cake we tasted.

“I like everything, but I'll go with whatever you want” She said as she put a piece of cake in her mouth.

“Are you serious?”.

“What? cake is cake. I really don't care in what kind of cake we're gonna serve at our wedding, cause all I care about is giving you my last name” She said, which made me blush a little from the last thing she said.

“Yeah I know, but I still want us to make a decision together and not just whatever I want for our wedding, cause it is our wedding after all and not mine alone” I told her. Sure, this wasn't her first time getting married, but I didn't just want everything I want. I wanted what we both want at our wedding.

“Well okay, I choose the strawberry cake” Rivera told Xenia, seeing her write down it down, as she finished her cake.

When we were done picking out our cake, the next thing on our list was venue, the place where we'll be hosting the after party at.

“Well, the cake is done” I checked that off our list “Next the venue” I said, seeing that it was our next agenda on our things to prepare for our wedding.
