Chapter Twenty Nine - Is this really happening?!
Five years has passed...Years has passed since the new addition was added to my family and I'm honestly enjoying being a big sister.
Allot has changed over the years. Rivera got a new job at another hospital, but instead of caring for teens to adults. She's more of all ages now and even Jean managed to get herself transferred to where Rivera works at now.
Me and Joanna finished college, our graduation day was the best.
Joanna decided to follow his dreams in being a fashion designer;I mean he did love art, but he loved fashion more. Him and Raii'lyn was actually in Paris right now and I'm so proud of him.
I– in the other hand. I just work at a museum, an art museum of course. I have an awesome boss that let's me showcase my works and plus it's a win-win. Because they get more money and so do I.
I felt so overwhelmed seeing so much people into my work. It made me proud in what I do. I've always loved art and it makes me so happy to know that other people loves my art as much as I love making them.
Another update is that me and Rivera moved in together– in a new house. I also got the good news that I was officially cancer free and I was still a bit..well..in disbelief in a way, but I was so blessed though.
I was blessed to have so many people around me that loves and believed in me when I didn't. I couldn't have beat this cancer if it wasn't for them. If it wasn't for Rivera mostly, cause she made me experience things that I thought I would never. I'm just so lucky to have her in my life.
My parents were actually hosting a party for me, since I just got the results today that I was cancer free. They just decided to celebrate the good news.
So basically we're having a big party. It was gonna be at a hotel. So I know it's gonna be the whole shabang. Rivera is also pitching in, cause she didn't want my parents to do everything, even if my mother told Rivera that she didn't have to, but Rivera still went ahead on helping them out.
I was currently in my room video chatting with Joanna, since he wasn't able to be here, cause he was back in Paris.
“So where's Rivera?” Joanna asked, seeing him take a sip of his drink.
“She's at work” I took my pillow and held against my chest “But anyways, I have some good news to share” I said feeling all good inside.
“What? You're pregnant?” Joanna said jokingly, chuckling.
“No!” I felt myself start to blush “One of these days, but not today” I told him.
“Then what is it? Spill”.
“Well..” I trailed off “I just got the results today and I'm..” I paused for some kind of suspense.
“A, you're killing me here”.
I chuckled “Okay, I'm cancer free” I told him the good news.
“Wow, that's great!” Joanna jumped for joy on his bed, causing me to laugh, seeing his blanket fall off, revealing his boxers.
“Nice heart boxers” I teased, giggling.
I noticed Joanna's face turn red from embarrassment as he quickly covered himself back up with his blanket.
“You saw nothing!” He said still embarrassed by me seeing him in his boxers.
“Don't worry, I didn't see a thing” I continued to laugh.
