Word Count: 2343 words//;I've been reading Romeo and Juliet in my class, and was like, dang i haven't updated my quackity oneshots book in a long time, how about i make romeo and juliet a bit more modern with my touch and swap the characters and genders- and so i wrote this shit.. sorry for not updating, i promise to update soon :) also, because Shakespeare wrote in a different era, and since I've cut out the unnecessary stuff, the reader, aka you, will sound like a yandere. but you're not! you're just the female version of Romeo, who happened to act like a stalker. so sorry about that :/

Y/N's P.O.V.
I frowned as I roamed the garden freely. The man who I had loved did not love me back. It hurt to say that Evan had not accepted my undying love for him. He had wished to be a Friar, and I could do not a thing about it. I had seen my cousin Lilian spot me, and I had run away, out of panic. She had gone after a while, and soon enough, I stayed in a single spot near the river. I had dipped my feet in, and watched as the fish swam without a care in the world. "Why, oh why don't you love me back, oh handsome Evan?" I mumbled to myself as leaves fell all around me. I stayed in the same spot for almost three hours, complaining and moping about my lost love. I stood up, putting my shoes back on, and rid my dress of any dirt that it could've had. As I made my way back home, I noticed my parents leaving, Lilian still in the kitchen. "Good morning, Lilian." I nodded in her direction. "My god, Y/N, where've you been? It's afternoon," she asked, a worried look on her face. "I'm here, I was at the river. And is it so? I must've been under the shade." I was being partly honest, but I was also miserable, and it must've been noticeable.
"N/N, dear god, what has happened?" Lilian asked as she sat me down. I sighed, clicking my tongue. "I have been emotionally wrecked, as I no longer know how to live on." I looked over at her, and noticed she was about to laugh. "Is it love that you speak of?" I nodded. "But he does not love me back, as he has decided to become a Friar. I can not force him to love me, as that is not true love." "'Oh, true love, I have decided to love someone who wants to be a Friar, so I will mope about it!' Seriously Y/N, you must move on. Evan is not the only handsome man here in Verona." I looked up, not bothered, and headed into my chamber. I heard Lilian sigh, and I shut my door.

3rd Person P.O.V.
Emily was walking around Alex's father in the streets, seeing as the commotion from earlier had subsided. "Ah, erm, hello! I was wondering if I would be able to marry your son, Alexis." Capulet merely frowned down at her, before stopping. "Why would I allow you to marry my son?" He eyed her. "Well, I am the countess, but that's not a reason, no of course not. Well, I suppose many males have been marrying females, and I would like to marry your son. He is the most handsomest, after all." Capulet sighed and rolled his eyes. "I am hosting a party at my home tonight, and Alexis will be there. If you can woo him to marry you, then you are allowed to, as my permission is only part of our deal. Is that much better? Is that enough to make you leave me alone?" Emily nodded, and scattered off, a wide grin on her face. "Thank you, good sir. You won't regret it!" He just huffed. "I'm sure I will."
Capulet motioned over his servant, Ally, and handed her a piece of paper. "Here is a list of people who are to be invited to our feast. You must go to their homes, and tell them that they are invited to our home. Now, off! I will be in my chambers." As he left, Ally was panicking on the inside. "Invitations? Oh dear me, I do not know how to read. I must go look for someone who is able to." Y/N and Lilian were entering into the streets, talking amongst themselves, before Ally spotted them. "Er, excuse me! Good day, madam, but do you happen to read?" Y/N nodded. "Ah, yes, I do. What is it that you want to read?" As the servant handed her the paper, she scanned it over, reading it. "Well, what is it with all the names?" "My master is hosting a feast at his home, but he does not want me to invite the Montagues. You aren't enemies, are you?" Lilian looked at the paper, before nudging Y/N and whispering in her ear. "Tell her we aren't, that way we can find yourself a new man!" She just sighed miserably. "Oh, but Evan is also attending! I want to see him." Y/N turned to Ally. "We are not Montagues, girl." Ally nodded. "Then you are allowed to come!"
