Jen woke up from the bright sun blazing into her eyes and felt like shit. She didnt do anything crazy but generally she just felt like shit. She looked at the bottom side of her bed and saw Andrew; A sex fiend that couldn't get a hint that Jen would never sleep with him. They're friends and all but Andrew always tries to get into her pants and she never lets him. Still Andrew doesn't get the idea and always tries but fails miserably every time.

"Dammit, what time is it?" Jen looked at her watch and it read 7:50am.

"OH SHIT, IM LATE!" Jen hopped of her bed and stepped on Andrew waking him up both purposely and accidentally.

"What the hell!" Andrew sprung up and burped out a gush of beer.

"Thats gross Andrew, how about you stop getting drunk and falling asleep on my floor." Jen multi tasked getting her jacket on and her boots.

"I'll leave when we hit it off in the bed." Andrew winked and Jen laughed.

"Oh Andrew you'll never understand, im not going to sleep with you. Even if we were the last two people on earth."

"Don't friend zone me Jen! You know we have a connection." Andrew grabbed the blue ribbon by him and tried to get a last drop of beer.

"The only connection you have with anyone is the stacks of beer cans in your apt."

Jen grabbed her rifle by her door and wished Andrew a goodbye and jogged her way to the barricade.

Jen didnt hate Andrew, but she did hate his nerve of him trying to drunken her up just to sleep with her. Hell, letting him stay around Jen keeps the entertainment in her life, plus rejecting a dude and threatening to beat him up is kinda fun. Right?

Jen left her building and citizens were walking around woodsbury like every other normal day. Jen passed by many people saying 'good morning' to her but she couldn't stop and conversate. She was late for her first shift to watch at the barricade.

Jen reached the barricade and climbed to the top. It was made out of tires and scraps found around the area and it helped separated the town from the outside with a 5-6ft barricade that took forever to make, as people say. She walked down to everyone and Martinez was still there, conversation with Rowan and Tim; the usual shift mates in the morning.

''Morning sleeping beauty." Jen could hear the sarcastic tone in Martinez voice and she wasnt satisfied. Martinez didn't like Jen, mainly because the governor is starting to trust her as much as he trusts Martinez. Her goal in Woodsbury is to be a counsel, like Martinez and The gov. Counsil is one of the power houses of the town and they get all says in making decisions for the town but The gov. is more of the boss than the rest of the counsel.

"Finally, you're thirty-four minutes late, this is the third time this month." Martinez scoffed.

"I know, im sorry, Andrew was in my room again and i-." She tried to finish her sentence but Martinez cut her off.

"Look I don't want to hear your little story. I just want you all to get back into your positions."

"Come on Martinez relax." said Tim lighting up a cigarette, "Walkers don't even come near this place anymore."

"Look dip shit, " Martinez pointed at the opposite side of the barrier. There was a walker coming out of the woods.

"God damn it, i got it." Tim got up his seat and aimed for the walkers head.

" See this is what you get for not paying attention, So get up you lazy asses and keep on watch." Martinez dramatically got up and left like every morning to suck up to the governors ass.
