Two months later:
Things began to calm down in Woodbury. There was not crazy madness affecting the community. The soldier Merle and the gov brought back left the community in perfect condition and everything went smoothly.
Jen and Shane lived happily in the apt. They never talked about being a couple but it happened so naturally that they didn't need to put a label on themselves. They were madly into each other. Shane worked hard and successfully brought himself up to a militia level. Going out with the crew regularly for supplies and regularly guarding things inside the community. He improved vastly and slowly became more close to the gov.
The gov, on the other hand, didn't change, he was still demanding and self-centered, Jen slowly became frightened of him. She didn't know what was going to happen next, she was so afraid that she doesn't know if she even wants to be part of counsel.

Jen struggled to put her shoes on and almost fell.

"Woah calm down. You're going all crazy. It's just a meeting." Shane said reading one of the boring books Jen had while drinking coffee. The books started to grow on him

"Im scared, the gov. knows how I feel about the things we do outside and I don't want him to kill me or something. Christian got into an argument with the gov about us bringing the walkers into the barrier for the fights and Gov pushed him right into the pit he keeps walkers in. I watched him do that with my own two eyes.... If he can get mad about something that small then he could get mad at me for something so important."

"He won't I promise you. If he wanted to kill you because you don't like anything he does then you would have already been dead. He kept you alive because he wants you in counsel He wants someone to disagree with him so he can re think his decisions.Martinez and Merle are just like him so of course, they agree with him easily. You would bring in discussion and new ideas, thats what the gov needs. "

"You're right I guess, I can't look over the crazy thing we do outside the barrier for now, and once I get into counsel I can fix Woodbury up."

"That's my smart girl..trust me you'll kick ass." Shane kissed Jen her cheek before she ran out the door.

Jen walked to the gov.'s apt and knocked on his door. "Sir...im here." She waited for a couple of seconds then knocked again, "Are you he-?" The door pushed open by the knock and she looked inside. All she saw was his brick walled, Victorian style apt with the gov nowhere to be found in sight.  Jen walked in and surveyed the room. She looked at the bathroom and governor wasn't inside. She looked outside the door and smirked. Maybe she could look around and be a little nosey... She closed the front door and looked around. She checked the bathroom. Normal man stuff; shaving cream, razor, soap, toothbrush, medicine and condoms in the medicine cabinet....," Who the fuck would ever sleep with him?" Jen rolled her eyes as she transferred to his bedside.

Then she looked at some piles of paper by his bedside. Nothing important except a picture of him and his family. She picked it up and smiled. His wife had blonde hair and a beautiful smile and his daughter had glasses with dirty blonde hair.

"Awh...this is so cute. I never knew he was a dad." A faint sound came from a door by the fridge. Jen looked at the door and tried grabbing her hand gun but it wasn't on her gun carrier. The noise disappeared but she got closer to the door. Jen wrapped her hand around the doorknob then looked back at the front door making sure she did close it and that no one was coming. She glanced outside the window and the gov was nowhere to be found. She took a big breath and opened the door. It was pitch black inside and it had a very strong bleach smell.
She searched for a light and accidentally switch it on frightening her a bit at the sight she couldn't believe
"Holy shit!" Jen realized how loud she was and covered her mouth. She looked at the whole room and couldn't believe what she saw. It was a small room with fish tanks along the walls and inside was severed Walker's heads.
Jen got closer to the tanks, all the heads were still alive, some walkers were even moving their jaw wanting to bite Jen.
She walked to the half-empty tank and looked at the head: its eyes were closed and it had a scar on the right cheek.
"Wait.." Jen looked closer and it was the military man they brought back when Shane was brought her. She knew it was him, there was a scar his cheek, Jen remembers cleaning it up. They lied to her, no wonder why she never saw him leave.

"Oh God." Jen backed up into a table and almost knocked down a white katana.
Jen picked up and took the katana out of its sleeve, sitting on the red chair in the center of the room. On the tip was dry blood.

"Okay no, This tops it off. First, the military men, killing survivors outside the barrier, Christian dying and now this sick room. God, what goes in through that sick brain of his."
Anger tried to leave her mouth but her senses knew she couldn't talk aloud.

She looked up and there was another door across from the chair but it was a chipped mauve red color unlike his three other brown doors. Jen put the katana back and got close to the door. She pressed her ear against it and didn't hear anything. She opened the door and it was also pitch black. She didn't know whether to go inside or not. Who knows... There could be more weird shit in there, but then she heard chains start to move, they got closer and louder. She backed up quickly and a walker came out, she ran back to the chair and grabbed the katana but the walker stopped. It was a little girl in a night gown with a collar on and chains dragging along the floor. It was the farthest she could go.
The little girl groaned, demanding flesh and knawing her teeth around.

Then she stared at the walker like crazy, helping kick back her memory. She looked at the walker then back at the gov.'s bed.

"Holy shit no..no. No!" Jen grabbed the covered katana and shoved it against the zombie's chest pushing her back into the closet. She definitely was not going to get any closer to her. She closed the door then left the spare room.
She quickly walked to the photo again and looked at the little girl...
"Holy shit. He has his daughter stuck in a damn closet. He is hiding his dead fucking daughter. God he's a fucking psychopath."

Just then the door handle started to jiggle and Jen put the picture back.

The gov. walked in and Jen reacted quickly and started folding the piles of clothes on his bed hiding her anxiousness.
The gov. brought up his gun and realized it was Jen, looking at her all crazy, "Jennifer, what is this?"

"Oh hello sir..." She dropped the clothes and stepped aside from the bed. In the inside, she was screaming and shaking but all the gov saw was calmness from Jen.
"I just got in a few minutes ago. When I knocked on the door it was opened so I came in. I thought you would be back in A few minutes so I waited." She smiled and he pointed at his clothes," why were you folding my clothes?"

"Sorry... It's an OCD thing that I have, I just couldn't resist."
Bullshit; she didn't have any OCD thing obviously but the gov bought it.

"Look, you've been here for a few minute but I don't want to keep you waiting in here so im going to make this quick; I called you up because I wanted to know your position on deciding whether to join counsel or not?  Two months seems like a long time to decide."
Jen laughed and walked to the gov standing in his kitchen," I know I needed to make a decision but just recently I decided to take the offer. I will join you in counsel. I really want to help build a better community."

The gov. Smiled," Jennifer this is wonderful! I knew you would make the right decision, please sit down and have a drink."

"Im sorry sir, i can't I need to go back and.." Jens mind raced as she tried making an important excuse,"... go to the Caraway residence."

"What for?" The gov asked while pouring his glass with whiskey.

"Judy...Judy has been having a fever and pain in her left leg so I wanted to go check on her..make sure she's okay and its not anything worse than I expect."

"Yes I understand by all means please go, you have an important duty."

"Thank you gov. I will see you later and thank you for letting me join the council, I won't let you down."
Jen slipped away and left the apt. The gov looked at his clothes than his side drawer. The photo of his family stuck out from the bottom of papers. He balled his fist up then looked at the spare room door and it was sightly open.
He turned to the window and saw jen walking the opposite way from the Caraway house. He slowly drank his whiskey as he closed his spare room.
