HERO - ENRIQUE IGLESIAS
A/N:
First of all: I'm soooooooo sorry for the long wait. I'll give you an extra long chapter to make it up.
Second: Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for over 1000 reads! :D You are so awesome. I wouldn't have made it this far without you :)
So... I've never been to an American Football game nor to Ford Field, so please don't pick on me e "it's not right" etc. I've tried to do as much research as possible, but it's probably not completely right anyway... :D
Enjoy!
(And please vote/fan/comment if you liked it. All comments are appreciated.)
Love
Mattie

I sat and looked at the piece of paper I held in my hand for a long time. All afternoon I had had the Battle of Helms Deep going on in my head, but finally had the "YES" side won. I thought about going to the game and not just ignore it. I didn’t want miss the chance to see Derek play for real. Moreover, it would annoy Kevin enormously if he found out that I had a VIP ticket to the T.B.B-final, which made it even more fun. Slowly I pulled my hand through my blond hair and was considering my options once more: 1) Stay home and do something slightly unnecessary schoolwork or 2) Go to the game, see Derek play, to brag about my VIP ticket and hopefully my prince charming was going to see me and forgive me. In retrospect, it sounded like a pretty easy choice. Still, it took me almost two hours to make up my mind. But now it was decided, and I started to get a rush...
I hurried down the stairs and ran past mom and dad in the living room. They sent me a puzzled look when I stopped in the hall to lace up my shoes.
"It's okay that I borrow the car tonight, huh?" I asked my father and tied a sloppy bow on my Converses.
"Sure, but ..."
"Thank you, you are the best! I might be a little late."
"You're going to school tomorrow, Katie," Mom began, but I interrupted her.
"I know, Mom... I think I'm old enough to take responsibility for myself." Behind me, the door opened and Kevin stepped in with his skateboard in his hand.
"Where are you going?" he asked, reaching over me to hang up his jacket. He was taller than me, something he was very proud of in the beginning, but now it was something we both was used.
"The T.B.B-final," I said briefly and smiled at him. If there was something Kevin loved more than his skateboard (which was quite difficult to achieve) it was the American football and especially the T.B.B league.
"What?! When did you get the tickets!?" he asked, and dropped the jacket on the floor.
"Derek Downhill is in the same class as I. VIP spot. Goodbye!"
"No! Damn that’s so unfair! Do you allow that..." Then I closed the front door behind me and hurried to the car. The clouds were hanging low and it looked like rain was coming. I sighted. I didn’t want any more rain, I wanted sun and summer. Kevin tore up the front door again.
"You don’t happen to have an extra ticket, huh?"
"Sorry, bro ... Maybe when you’re a little older..." I said teasingly and sat down behind the wheel.
