"Who are you? And why are you knocking on my door early in the morning?" Omkara asked annoyed watching the girl in front of him. She dared to disturb his sleep in the morning and he was already annoyed seeing a girl.
"I am Gauri Sharma, your neighbour. I moved in recently." Gauri chirped.
"Are you here early in the morning to say this?" Omkara asked rudely.
"No." Gauri said meekly seeing Omkara's rudeness. "I.. I thought of making friends with you___"
"Not interested." Omkara said cutting her off rudely, "I don't have time to waste on making friends that too with female species, now get lost and don't come here again." He said and shit the door on Gauri's face with a thud making her jump.
Gauri was disappointed by the way her neighbor treated her.
"It's okay, Gauri. Seems like your neighbor is having a bad day, don't we all have bad days. Don't be disappointed." She told herself and began to walk towards her apartment when she heard the click on her neighbors door and a snap of fingers from behind making her turn around.
"You girl__" Omkara called her from behind making it sound like being born as a girl is a sin.
"Huh! " Gauri turned around to face her 6 feet tall neighbor with shoulder length black hair and chocolate brown orbs.
He made a gesture with his hand for her to come near and Gauri began to walk towards him involuntarily.
"I hate girls not food." He said grabbing the tray of delicacies from her hand, "And remember don't show yourself at my doorstep again."
"Understood?" He growled and Gauri nodded in yes blinking her eyes innocently.
"Good." And with that he closed the door on her face again.
Gauri spent the rest of the day watching cartoons on the TV and eating snacks and food her bua packed for her. Next morning she woke up watching the beautiful scenery of Eiffel tower the window in her bedroom offered her. Her mobile began to ring on the bedside table.
"Hey Ri." Veer and Dheer shouted once she lifted the call.
"Hi Veer Bhaiyya and Dheer Bhaiyya." Gauri greeted cheerfully.
"How's life in Paris, Ri." Veer asked curiously.
"It's wonderful Bhaiyya, you know I can see Eiffel tower from my room and I have an apartment all for myself. Hope you guys were also here with me." She said sadly.
"Don't worry, Ri. We will come there to visit you soon." Veer assured.
"Ri, tell me did you made friends there?" Dheer asked taking phone from Veer.
"She had been there only for a day, Idiot." Veer voice came from Background.
"No, bhaiyya. I didn't made any friends but Since now all the people I met had been nice to me taking from the taxi driver to Bua's friend's nephew." Gauri said.
"That's great. Did you meet your neighbors?" Veer asked.
"Yes, I met my neighbor yesterday but you know he was like our Bunty." Gauri said.
"Bunty?" Dheer asked confused.
"Yes, Bunty. Remember Naina mausi's 10 year old son, who always eats laddoos and behaves rudely with everyone." Gauri reminded.
"Yes, that Bunty bear." Veer said remembering.
"Yes, my neighbor was also behaving like him seems like he's also a foodie like Bunty but I know just like bunty he too takes time to become friends." Gauri said hopefully. "Remember when I met Bunty in Richa's wedding he was all grumpy with me refusing to join me in musical chairs and later when I gave him a few chocolates and been nice to him he became good friends with me."
"Gauri, bunty is different__" Veer tried to explain but Dheer shut him off.
"Okay Gauri, try to be nice to people and if any trouble comes call us." Dheer said ending the call.
"Why did you shut me off, Dheer?" Veer asked prying Dheer's hand off his mouth.
"Veer, Gauri has a heart of a kid thinking everyone's good. She has a ability to win people's hearts with her innocence we don't want to disappoint her by showing the harsh realities. Let her be the way she is." Dheer explained.
"But she has to know Dheer, that everyone's not as good as she thinks them as." Veer said.
"Then let her know that by her own experiences. Isn't that why we sent Gauri there, to learn things and see the life?" Dheer explained.
"I wish stays safe there, she doesn't even know the intentions if the people and she is still innocent as a kid for her age." Veer sighed.
Gauri began to walk in the road following the Maps to find her college. She taught it will be good to find the route for her college before hand since she has classes starting tomorrow and she don't want to be late to the college finding the route besides she taught it will give her a chance to know her surroundings.
"Take a 90° left." The virtual assistant instructed and Gauri feet moved in that direction.
"You reached your destination." The virtual assistant said making Gauri lift her head from her mobile to look around her surroundings.
When she saw around, she noticed that she was no where near her college but in a isolated alley with a few old and shaggy buildings.
"It said I reached but this is no where near the picture of college I saw in internet." Gauri mumbled scared looking at the building.
She was about to turn around and make her way out when she collided with a woman making the things in her hand scatter on the floor.
"Ouch! You idiot boy can't you see." The woman scolded Gauri.
Gauri looked around to see the boy, the woman was referring to and realized that she was scolding her. That didn't surprised Gauri since she was familiar with people misunderstanding her as boy because of her attire and appearance.
"I am sorry." Gauri apologized helping the woman to gather the things on the floor.
The woman muttered curses under her breathe and Gauri silently helped the woman gather her things.
"I am sorry, I didn't really saw you." Gauri apologized once again after helping the woman and the woman just flicked her hair rudely grabbing the things from Gauri.
"What's happening__" A male voice came from behind making Gauri and the woman turn towards the voice.
"Nothing." The woman said walking towards the man as they both made their way inside a door and shutting it on Gauri's face.
"What's with people and shutting doors on my face." Gauri thought and began to walk outside the building to find her college.
