The Gray Lion? [Keith X Reader]

Chapter 8 Part 3

Author's POV: 

S-Save the Balmera... Think about how much you want to save... 

It was in and out as the voice was now disappearing and your head pain was disappearing as well. With that the pain was fully gone and the Balmera was shaking again. Silas hugged your right arm tightly as he was scared. The Balmera stopped shaking again.

Who the hell was that new voice... They want me to save the Balmera?! With my powers? I don't even know if I can do that...

This time the planet started to shake so hard that the mine shaft was now slowly collapsing on you guys. 

Damn it... by the time Voltron can find us, it'll be over... Why don't I just try... I hope you're right whoever you are...

Just as you thought that, you looked at Silas. 

"Hey buddy, can I do something real quick?" As you asked that you looked at Silas and he looked at you. He then nodded his head quickly. Then he let go of your arms and stood back. You put up your force field around him just in case something went wrong and to protect him from danger. With that you stood up and took a breath in. You closed your eyes and did what the voice told you to do.

Author's POV:

"Guys, this isn't working. The beast is not letting Pidge and I go. We'll never take this beast down in our lions as well." Keith said.

"Well, forming Voltron didn't work either." Pidge said

"Not without some way to shoot all those laser eyes at once." Lance said with trouble laced in his voice.

"Guys! Guys, something's happening here! I-I think there's a way to take down all those laser eyes at once." Hunk said a bit confused. 

"Well, what is it?" Pidge asked as we were all flying around to avoid the lasers. 

"Do you remember how Voltron formed that sword with Keith's bayard? I think my lion's telling me I can do the same thing with my bayard." Hunk said as he sounded a bit confused

"Are you sure?" Keith asked

"Let's find out. Form thinkgy! It didn't work!" Hunk said.

"Because we didn't form Voltron yet." Shiro said as they were focusing on the monster.

"Oh, right. Yeah, I know." Hunk said as he sounded a bit embarrassed. 

"Guys, whatever we're planning, let's hurry up and do it!" Pidge said as they were still trying to avoid the lasers. Then the monster's eyes saw the ship that was glowing blue and stopped shooting lasers. It started to fly slowly to the castle to attack.

"We've got to defend the Castle! Everyone, follow me. Form Voltron!" 

ROAR!

The monster used its arms and chest to start creating a big ball of green laser to destroy the castle. Until Voltron shot the monster with it's laser. As the monster was doing it again, Voltron had a gun version and started to shot at the monster. The two colored lasers were now hitting each other. One green and one blue. 

"It's not enough!" Shiro said as everyone was grunting. 

"We'll have to try something else!" Hunk said and with that he hit one of his steering handles to the green laser at a different direction. As that happened the monster started to form the big green laser again and shot at Voltron. Before it can hit them, they fly out to the left direction. 

*Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep*

"Are you guys seeing this?" Hunk asked

"Roger that." Keith said. 

"Let's see what this thing can do. Engage!" Shiro said and as he said that the yellow shoulder gun appeared again. Then as they shot a bunch of blue blasts were coming out of one gun and went to hit the multiple eyes that the monster had on it's arms. Which has damaged the arms of the monster and went kneeling down.

~~~~~MEANWHILE~~~~~

You thought about how much you wanted to protect this boy and the Balmera. How you wanted to protect the Balmerans and their family. With that you felt a surge of warmth and energy in your body. You then touched the ground with the palm of your hands. As you were doing that Silas saw what you were doing and his eyes widen. As you were doing that the grayish/blue glow that was where you were standing started to expand bigger and bigger.

"Whoaaa...."

Just as when you did that Princess Allura did the same thing as you did but her arms were wide open as she was using the castle to amplify the essence. Then she touched the ground and as she was doing that Shay and her family surround Allura. They were doing the same thing and the the rest of the Balmerans down in the mine shaft did the same, trying to save their planet. For them it was covering the planet with blue essence.

Keith's POV:

"Guys, look!" Shiro said as we were in the sky, seeing what was happening. 1/3 of the planet was being covered with blue quintessences, and the rest was covered with gray quintessences. As that was happening, both color quintessences were coming out of the ground. 

"Why is it a different color?" Hunk asked and just as I was about to say something...

"Guys, we're not done!! The beast is still moving!" As Lance said that I looked over at the monster and saw that Lance was right, it was still moving. Then the monster's chest was shooting it's lasers again at us. With that we were moving up and down, side to side to avoid getting hit. I then pushed one of my steering handle to punch the monster in the chest. As I did that it fell and the monster was done. 

"Good Job team!" Shiro said with a smirk, with that we disband Voltron. As we were going to fly towards the Castle, Red was making me fly somewhere else. 

"Keith, where are you going?!" Lance asked.

"I don't know, it's moving on it's own!" I said 

Where are you taking me Red?

Allura's POV:

*Sighs/groans* 

After it was over, I lost strength and fell to the ground. 

"Princess, are you alright?" Shay asked as was holding me.. 

"Did it work?" You heard the Princess of Altea asking 

"Yes. but the Balmera lives? " As I heard Rax say that to me, I was confused. 

"What? How is that possible?" Coran asked as he was confused too. 

I only save 1/3 of the planet. How does the Balmera live?

"Someone else is saving the Balmera as well... and she's still continuing to heal it." as Shay said that I looked at her as I was cut out of my thoughts. 

"Who?" I asked as I was curious but before Shay could answer, she was cut off. 

"Guys... we have a problem..."
