Heads up before you read this: This book contains vivid descriptions of violence (that I don't condone such actions), blood and torture. It also has a lot of curse words and it can become very inappropriate at certain scenes. Read at your own risk...

You continued to stare off where the paladins were retreating as you stood frozen—terrified that they were so close and could've taken you. Korus noticed you were shaking in fear as you seemed distant after encountering the Paladins. He placed his hands gently on your lower back, hoping it wouldn't frighten you. However, it still did as you flinched from Korus' touch. You were about to panic as you thought Voltron came back to kidnap you as they might've realized who you were.
"You're safe, Princess." Korus whispered to you as he quickly removed his hand from your back. He was now standing before you as he bent down a little to be at eye level with you. You guys made eye contact which made you relax once you made eye contact with him. He gave you a faint smile to assure you that you were safe. You broke eye contact with him as you looked around, searching for your other bodyguards. As you remember that they were injured because of the fight. You noticed Cree, Wren, Rehan, Dewei, and Dario, to which you quickly made your way toward them, wanting to make sure they were okay. As you were focused on your other bodyguards, you failed to notice Korus cursing himself quietly for how he was acting toward you.
"Wren, Rehan, Dewei, and Dario, are you okay? Are you guys badly hurt?" Your voice was laced with worry and guilt.
"Don't worry, Princess; we're okay." Wren spoke as he bit his tongue from the pain that was coming from his side. He then moved his hand towards his rib to release the pain and put his weight on Cree as he held Wren up. Tears started to form in your eyes as you felt guilt for letting them get injured because they were tasked to protect you. It was hard for you to watch your friends get hurt because of you. They felt more like family than your father and mother were.
"Please don't cry, Princess. It's our duty to protect you." Dario said as he slowly sat down against the wall since he needed to lean on something.
"Yes, it is, and if it means that we must die to protect you, that's what we'll all do. We took an oath before we served you, and we will keep that oath." Rehan said as he was breathing slowly and leaning against the wall for support but standing instead of sitting like Kapono.
"But I don't want you guys to die from protecting me." You said with sadness, trying your best to hold in your tears.
"That's our job, Princess." Dewei said as he gave you a smirk while helping Dario get comfy as he was helping him sit down. You gave Dewei a faint smile since it was true, but you still wished that they would never have to get to that extent in protecting you. You started to look around to see if all of your guards were here but realized that Kenu and Kapono were not with you.
"Where are Kenu and Kapono?" You asked as your face was written with worry.
"Don't worry, Princess. Kenu? Kapono?" Cree said as he looked at me. Then he put his hand by his ear and called for them through the earpiece that they had to communicate with each other. You saw a small figure running towards you as soon as he did. It looked like someone was holding the other person. You squinted your eyes and realized who they were. Your eyes widened as they got closer to you. It was Kenu dashing towards you and your guards as he was holding Kapono on his back.
