Chapter 50

Hayley's POV

It's been a hectic week since Nora's mom passed. I went to the court and was tried for street violations but was discharged considering the situation that I was placed in. The court gave me sole custody of Nora. I didn't adopt her I'm just her legal guardian. She's had it rough... She's been beaten and raped by her own father she has several self harm scars and even burns she inflicted in herself. The court asked her if she had any family but unfortunately her grandparents had already passed and her parents were only child's.

"Nora are you hungry" I asked walking into her room. Her room was the one next to Chris' we tried to make her feel at home as much as possible. I even got the guys to paint her room a dark purple and buy her all types of band posters and any other artist she likes. We got her clothes and shoes since most of her things were burned down along with her house.

"No" she said softly turning to face me. She was laying with the covers slightly off her, showing some skin...She was wearing shorts and a tank top. She pulled the cover up to under her chin and looked at me. Sad hazel eyes stared back.

"Come on honey you haven't eaten anything all day and you barley touched your pancakes this morning" I said stepping in and sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I'm just not hungry" she said pulling the cover over her face.

"Come one sweetie ...please come join us for dinner you haven't since you came to this house" I frowned pulling the covers off her face.

"Fine" she sighed

"Yay" I said "Skylar has wanted to see you" I smiled at her as she got out of bed.

"She's so cute you know" Nora said "is it true you adopted her?" She asked putting a sweater on and black pants.

"Yeah... That's why I was on the news for that big as war we had in the woods" I said going back to that time in my head. "Her dad wanted her back but he was insane he was abusive and honing her back would have never been a good idea... I'm glad I fought back... Even thought it's gave me amnesia but it was so worth it...It's also why Cassie doesn't talk ...some ass hole broke my baby's jaw and she had to get her mouth wired shut poor girl can't even eat real food everything has to be liquified for her and given to her through a big plastic needle" I said (A/N: I forgot what the thing is called)

"Really ... I just thought she couldn't speak" Nora said

"No she can" I said as she put her shoes on.

We made our way down stairs and Allie and Kylie had made 2 lasagnas and Jade and Kelly had prepared something for dessert which I didn't even know what.

Everyone sat around and the lasagnas were pasted around. We all ate and talked about random things. Ideas for song bands to cover special guests where we should go for New Year's Eve.

"Ooh Nora do you want to go pick Ricky up from the airport with Cassie and I?" I asked her... She was sitting right in front of me and I was more that thankful that she was eating her food.

"I don't know" she said quietly she was so shy around everyone. Most fans would be all over us asking questions and barley even carting to breathe. But she was the complete opposite. She stayed away and only talked when she was asked a question.

"Oh please... We don't want to go alone" I said hoping that would work.

"I can go with" Chris kissed my temple sitting next to me. I kicked him under the table he jumped hitting his leg on the table.

"Shizzz I forgot I have to track vocals" he said catching my hint. "You should go with her" he said smiling at Nora.

"I guess" she said looking at her plate.
