Chapter 44

Chris' POV

We've been down here to long. I'm getting worried. We herd shooting just a couple minutes ago but then it stopped.

"Ima get these mother fuckers they better fucking have her by now!" Matt exclaimed. so he's behind all this... Well mother fuckers gonna pay.

I taped Ange on the shoulder and he turned around quietly. Handing him Skylar, I took her blanket and a duster near by. After I herd the footsteps fade away. I broke the feathery part of the duster off and wrapped the blanket around it. I then grabbed the mop and took the stick off placing the mop in the blanket to add weight.

"What are you going to do" whispered Ange.

"The question is what are we gonna do" I said as I finished wrapping it. "You take Skylar as far from here as possible even if it means stealing their car" I said
"Devin your gonna follow me and if they ask for the baby you give them this but pretend it's really her ... Put up a fight for say." I said handing him the blanket with the mop and duster.

"You'll need this" Ange said he reached into his back pocket being careful not to drop Skylar and pulled out a silver 9mm.

"You too" I asked in disbelief

"No I found it in our car. one of the girls must have dropped it out their bag" he said pushing it towards me.

I sighed "fuck this" I said taking it from him. Taking the clip out I checked if it had bullets... Yup it was full too. I put it in back and began to hear commotion from above us.

"Let's go" I said and opened the door. Ange running down stairs I ran up stairs Devin following behind.

"So you think I have been doing nothing with my time... Well you're fucking wrong!" I herd Hayley yell. I put the gun pointing the floor and walked slowly towards that door. Opening it I saw Hayley had him by his arm stomach down on the ground and his arm was twisted backwards. He kicked her off but she gained her balance.

"Chris" Devin gasped behind me. I turned around and faced Stephanie. She was holding a knife to his throat and walking slowly back out to the stair case.

"Hey baby haven't seen you in a long time" she smirked.

"Fuck you" I said cocking and pointing the gun towards her.

"Oh so you too, have a gun? wow, never thought you would be holding on at your own girlfriend" she said backing up against the wall but with a bit of space in between.

"You're not my fucking girlfriend" I said

"Give me the child" she said to Devin.

"No" he said

She smiled a sinister smile and pushed the blade harder against his throat."hand her over" she said

"No" he said again holding it tighter

"Don't play with me Devin give her to me this instant or your blood with be all over this stair case" she said through clenched teeth.

He swallowed and handed her the blanket. Pushing him aside he backed away and joined me.

She ran up the stairs but I didn't follow.

"She'll come back down when she sees that it's not really the baby" Devin said holding his throat. I was bleeding but not severely.

"I know we'll deal with that later"

We walked in to see if Hayley was ok. She was pushed up against the wall. Matt holding his arm against her throat she was clearly choking. I snuck up behind him and hit him over the head with the gun handle. I knocked him out and he dropped to the floor.
