His POV:

Geez, I can't believe I'm doing this! I might as well throw myself inside a dumpster!

I mentally scolded myself, my eyes unintentionally landing on the bouquet of gerbera flowers on the dining room table. I walk over to them and stare at their beauty. The image of a smiling (Y/n) popped into my head. Picking them up and thinking to myself,

I'm so pathetic. She wouldn't want me...

"Stop bashing yourself like that!" A fairy on my right shoulder yelled in my ear. I pushed them off, gazing out the kitchen window. "You can do it! Just believe!" They encouraged me. I stayed silent. They took it as a hint to leave, sighing in defeat, and vanished.

Am I worthy of her? Can I live up to her expectations? Her standards? She's such an amazing woman. I wouldn't want to get in the way of anything that she wants to achieve.

I thought it over more and more.

......

I set my plan in motion before the little encouragement I had crumbled. I yanked the flowers from their vase, wrapped the stems with a yellow ribbon, and headed out.

Your POV:

"You're going to give me what I want, and you're going to give it to me now!" You shouted at the man you had tied up in a chair for work purposes. He trembled in fear as you shook him. At the worst possible time, your phone rang loudly.

Argh, I forgot to turn it off!

The caller ID made your heart unintentionally skip a beat. You lifted a finger and answered it. "Hi, you're not dead? That's a relief. What do you want you?" You asked, sounding bitter.

"Don't be so harsh on me, lass. Tha fios agad mar a tha mi. (You know how I am.)"

You clicked your tongue. "That's no excuse, Alli~. You know how I am too. Again, what do you need? I'm at work."

"Oh, I'm sorry to bother you at a bad time. I'll call later if that still works..." His voice sounded tender and somewhat desperate.

You softened up a tiny bit. "No, it's fine. I'm almost done here. Hold on." You put the phone on speaker and set it down on a nearby crate. When you turned around, the man had escaped his bindings and left the scene. "Crap..." You muttered.

"A bheil rudeigin ceàrr? (Is something wrong?)" Allistor asked.

"It's nothing. Go on." You insisted, gathering your things and headed outside the warehouse you were in.

Going on a search was not what I planned today.

"I was wondering if you would like to go out when you're unoccupied. And if you're still mad, I understand. I just thought I'd give it a shot."

You thought it over, wanting him to give him a piece of your mind. He'd wasted your time for the past few weeks, and your time was not meant to be wasted.

Stop acting stubborn! Like it or not, this is the man you decided to fall in love with!

"I'm finished here. What do you have in mind?" Your tone shifted.

"I'd like to discuss that in person." He said.

"Okay, where and when do you want us to meet?"

"Uh, we already have that covered." You glance up and see Allistor standing a few feet away. Holding a man by the back of the collar and dragged him across the ground. "Nice to see you again, dear lass. You're as stunning as the last time I saw you." Upon closer investigation, the man he had was the same one you had in your custody minutes prior. "I caught this guy trying to steal a car on my way here. What do you say we do with him?" He asks, a smirk on his face. You sigh in great relief.
