Part 12

I wake up the next morning to see Sodapop gone, I walk over to my five bags and pick up the one thing that might show my identity a DX shirt, my DX shirt. I walk down stairs to see the whole gang. "Morning Bell," they all say.

"Morning Two, Steve, Dally, Darry,Pony,Sodapop,Johnnycakes, Sandy."

They all look at me like they have no idea what just happened then Two-bit, "how do you know our names and Johnny's nicknames?"

"You uh um...you guys uh, I over heard umm you guys uhhh talking last night," I fumble with my words.

They all look at each other and nod minus of course Sandy. She looks at Sodapop and sweetly asks, "Soda, love can we talk?"

"Yea," he replies getting up.

"No right here," she commands pulling him back down.

"Ok," he smiles.

"I think she knows us somehow, it doesn't make sense that she knows our names, she says.

"No, I think she's lost and needs our help," Sodapop says.

"Sodapop, do you know a place that I can work?" I ask breaking the conversation.

"You can work with me, you can start today," he informs me.

"Perfect," I sigh running upstairs getting ready for work by putting on my dark blue jeans, red leather jacket with black tank top and red converse, I curl my hair, put it in my half up, half down style and do my make-up. I walk downstairs with my face looking like usual (picture next to this). "Ready," I announce.

"Let's go," Steve said grabbing my hand, Sodapop did the same to Sandy.

We all walk hand in hand when Sandy snarls, "you know who I still hate."

"Who?" Sodapop asks.

"Sarah Winston," she shutters at my name.

I wait for Sodapop to defend me but, instead he just says, "Sandy, she's gone now, I broke her heart and she's not coming back. I was always in love with you she was just a rebound."

I feel tears sting in my eyes as I bit my lip as I play along, "she sounds awful."

"She wasn't awful but, I chased her out of my town," Sodapop says proudly.

"She was Dally's sister," Steve adds in.

"She was terrible you would've hated her," Sandy smiles.

"She was in love with me but, I was never in love with her, I was always in love with Sandy but, she helped me get over her until I looked into Sandy's eyes again and we hooked up, which is how I broke her heart but, I don't regret it at all, I think she's in California or something now. Dally's still broken hearted about her leaving but, I think got over it pretty soon," Sodapop says smiling at Sandy.

I let a tear fall freely as I lashed out, "ASSHOLE!"

"What why?" Sodapop asked all three of them staring at me as if I was insane.

"I'm Sarah Winston and your an asshole!" I yelled at Sodapop. "So I was just you fucking rebound, you never cared about me you know what you should have fucking stayed with Katie fucking broke her fucking heart fucking screwed her over fucking let her feel everything I feel about you and for you Sandy fuck off bitch! You a little a bitch I should of stayed in Florida! I fucking hate your guts Sodapop Curtis!"

I run until I get to Dally's room in Buck's house. Once I see Dally I hug him and sob, "oh Dally Sodapop never loved me he never did!"

"Bell, what are you talking about?" He asks.

"Dally, I'm not really names Bell, my real name is Sarah, Sarah Winston," I say and that's when he hugs me back.

"I love you Sarah," Dally says.

"I love you too Dally but, still Sodapop never loved me, I was just his stupid fucking rebound," I sob.

"Sh, it's ok when we go there later, I'll tell him off for you Sarah," he says as he rubbed my head.

"Dal, can I have money?" I ask.

"Why?" He asks.

"So I can make Sodapop jelous," I reply.

"Here's my wallet," he said handing me all his money.

"Thanks," I say as I hug him.
