I walk over to the train station and, wave goodbye to this small town called Tulsa, I should've known nothing good would of came from me finding my brother. I get on the train with a sigh as I know he was my only family, I may be a Winston but, I am no Winston. I wipe away a tear before it has the chance and slowly drift asleep,I've got a long ride back to Florida.
***THE NEXT DAY***
"I'm home," I shout as I walk through the door.
"Oh, hey Sarah," my mom replies with a hug.
"Hey, mom," I sigh, I'm still pretty shaken up about the whole Dallas thing.
"What's wrong?" My sister Rose asks.
"Well, I met my biological brother and he wants nothing to do with me so, I am back home," I say wiping tears from my eyes.
"Baby girl, how many times have I told you it's ok to cry, we're a family and we love you," my mom says. Why is she being so nice to me?
"Well, I gotta go unpack," I reply.
"Ok, have fun," my sister replies.
I walk upstairs to a familiar room, I sigh as I plop down on the bed letting a few tears slip out of my eyes but, not many I stop myself whispering, "Winstons don't cry."
"Sarah you're not a Winston though, you're a Young now," my sister says annoyingly.
"No, I'm Sarah Beth Winston not, Sarah Beth Young," I fight back.
"Why do you always have to me fight me on this? It's so stupid, you said it yourself, your parents are the worst and your brother doesn't want you. Why do you want them so bad? I don't get it Sarah," Rose asks.
"Because, it's who I am," I reply.
"No, did they raise you? Did they take you in because they found you weak, passed out of the side of the road? Did they love you when nobody else did? No," she asks even though I know she doesn't care.
"Well, I love them. I don't care what they do, I love them," I fight back holding back tears.
"Stop trying to be so much like a Winson," she says with annoyment all over her face.
"How do you know I am?" I ask with much sass in my voice.
"I can tell you want to cry," she replies.
"Well, I don't. Now will you get out of my room," I command with a ton of anger in my voice.
"Fine but, I'm sorry about Dallas, I really am," she says acting nice.
"Whatever, I mumble.
I throw my bag, to the floor laying on my bed.I fall asleep thinking about Sodapop, how nice he is, and Johnny how he cared about me even though we barely knew each other. I still feel like shit!
***THE NEXT MORNING***
I go to school like, any other day but, it wasn't like any other day. I was distracted all day but, the thoughts of Dallas. Why'd he have to be such an ass? I wonder if he's thinking about me. Probably not, he wouldn't be thinking of somebody he wanted nothing to do with. "Sarah!" I hear somebody yell.
"Huh," I say snapping out of my thoughts to see Andrew, my boyfriend.
"I was just wondering if you'd want to go on a date later," he said confused.
"Of course," I reply with a smile but, it quickly faded into a frown as I think about Sodapop.
"What's wrong?" He asks running his hands through my hair.
I quickly respond, "nothing just some guy back in Tulsa, he was Dallas' friend, he's the only reason I met him."
"Sh, love don't think about him," Andrew said making me smile.
I blush but manage to say, "I'll see you when?"
"Six," he bites his lip.
"See ya then," I reply pecking him on the lips then walking out.
I run to my house and release it's 4:30, I don't have much time to get ready. I quickly turn on my straightening iron it takes a while to heat up. I run into my backpack picking out, my black leather jacket, with a baby pink tanktop, a black leather skirt with tights underneath them and my baby pink converse. I got everything in Tulsa. I miss Soda and Johnny so much. I don't care much about the rest of the gang minus maybe Dallas. I look at the time 5:00, time to straighten my hair. I sit down and pull my yellow iron up to my head and slide it down my long red hair as steam appears above it. After about a forty-five minutes it's down and my wavy hair turns straight. Perfect now, it's time for makeup, I do my usual, heavy eyeliner, mascara, cover up, blush, foundation, lipstick and eyeshadow, 5:58. I run down stairs and out the doorwaitung until Andrew shows up. I hear him shout from his mustang, "hey babe, you look hot!"
"Thanks," I say climbing into his car.
"Where are we going?" I ask him.
"Surprise," he replies with a smirk.
"Ok," I smile.
We drive for a while but, we soon stop in the middle of nowhere. "Where are we?"
"In a campground in South Carolina," he says escorting me out of the car.
"This is gorgeous," I reply in awe.
"And the sun's setting, I know how much you love that. So shall we watch?" He asks holding out his hand.
"We shall," I giggle taking his hand and running to the peer with our feet in the warm water, my head in the crease of his neck. This is perfect, the only way if it would be better is if it was Sodapop. No, what am I saying, I'm with Andrew. I'm not in love with Sodapop Curtis. As the sunsets he plants a kiss on me but, I quickly pull away and pretends to fall into the water, the spark is gone when I kiss him. Shit! I am in love with Sodapop Curtis. As my body hits the warm water I scream but, I'm soon met by water emerging my face. I bob up and splash Andrew, "come on it the water's great!"
"Ok," he yells pulling off his shirt and jumping in. We spent the night at the camp ground laughing, swimming, talking, joking, and playing different games. We didn't fall asleep for hours but, once we did, I had the best dream.
"Hey, Sodapop," I say walking into the DX.
"Hey love, want me to get Dal?" He asks biting his lip.
"Sure, but first," I lean in and kiss him but, it soon turns into a heated make-out section with tongue and everything.
"Sarah Beth Winston, I'm in love with you," he says catching his breath.
"Sodapop Patrick Curtis, I'm in love with you too," I reply breathlessly.
"I'll go get Dal," he offers.
"Thanks," I holler as he walks off.
"What's wrong Sarah Bethiepoo?" Dal asks.
"Just miss my big brother," I say acting sad.
"Awe, Sarah Bethiepoo, don't miss me, I'm always just a walk or phone call away," he says responding as if I was really upset.
"I love you Dally," I smile.
"I love you too," he smiles back.
Then I hear an odd voice yelling, "Sarah! Sarah wake up we gotta go home! Sarah! Wake up!"
"I'm up, I'm up," I groan.
"Get up lazybones," Andrew commands.
"Carry me,"I mumble.
"Fine," he groans as he picks me up.
